Keep wasting your money. Its true. most cars after 1995 have anti siphoning built in. cannot put a tube thicker than 1/4" down there. That's the size fish tank filters use. That would take a long time to get even 1 gallon . Save your money. bigger trucks and semis do need the locks.

If someone wants your gas they will just cut the fuel line and siphon away. Little will deter a determined gas thief. What I want to know is why the design of automobiles still allows for easy access to the fuel line? It should be a standard part not an after market device.

Yes, this article is just advertisement for the makers and retailers of this device. After the hurricanes of 2005, I needed gas, so I siphoned off of my non working vehicle to put in my generator, and my working car. At 1st i tried a garden hose, which was to big to fit. I happened to have some 1/4" fish tank silicone tubing, it took almost 45 minutes to get 2 gallons, b/c the flow was so slow. After a certain point I couldn't siphon anymore, b/c the tube wouldn't reach to the gas. Eventually i cut the gas line to get remaining 8 gallons. Point of the story, is a theif is desperate and determined, they will get your gas by cutting gas line, or drilling a hole in ur tank. Siphoning takes too long

This article is typical fear mongering by the scum slantenel. Most vehicles made after the 70's have a screen inside the gas tank that prevents siphoning.

We have no shortage of theives here in Florida.Especially the illegal and minority kind. I'm sure once they figure out the easiest way to get gas out of a car, the word will spread, and the thefts will increase a lot.

You don't need a locking gas cap. The Titsoons are too stupid to get the gas cap off. If you're paranoid, use the money you were going to spend on a gas cap and buy more .40 cal. ammo. Keep rollin with Expedition Sal.

So the media tells us SAVE OUR SOULS GAS THIEVES and then they come out with a report telling us there haven't been all that many (kind of like the bump key burglars) but people are protecting themselves anyway because 2 weeks ago SAVE OUR SOULS GAS THIEVES. No wonder everyone down here thinks they have the worst crime; they listen to the media and not their minds and own experiences.

I bought locking caps by Stant for our 2 cars. Bad decision. Both locks are poorly made. Took me so long to get them unlocked, I threw them away.
