Playing devils advocate I just hope this is the guy that did it and we are not going to have another person with their face splattered all over the news who is not responsible for the crime. If it is him then they need to torch all of his belongings and then set his A$$ on fire. Hopefully he wont get some bleeding heart judge and jury and get away with it or get to plead wackawacka

Am I missing something here - this is ONLY A PERSON OF INTEREST. He is not reputable and has no money so that makes him guilty? It gives everyone the right to crusify him before evidence is presented??

Rather than charging this individual with arson, some of the new anti-terror laws should be used. People with lung problems (and there are a lot of them, particularly seniors) could have died as a result of breathing smoke from this fire.

FACT I know for a fact the man is inoccent. The man was at his house watching the fires being started, he had no vehicle the days of the fire.
The police have the wrong person, youll see. He was only acting suspicous and trying to hide because of his warrants.
You are wrong and shouldnt believe what some people say.

well this guy was taken in that is true. but they can only tie him to one fire they said that he is cooperating with the police.i think thier is someone else who is responseable to the south east fires. i dont think this guy did it.or aleast did it on his own. there are a few more involved with all of this and i hope they catch them all this is a very sad situation.my heart crys for all who lost everything.

I watched as my neighborhood went up in flames, with only garden hoses to put out the fires - friends losing everything they have, and all of us have to be made to watch this fool on television get his 10 minutes of fame??? Comment again when you live through what we Palm Bay residents are living through now!

Well, we can see there will most likely not be a local trial. Don't think you could get a fair Jury in any of the fire areas around here, and the lawyers can just use these forums to back that argument up.

I live here in Palm Bay, I take care of my 84 yr old Dad. My Mom recently passed. I had a wall of fire at the end of my street. We went thru hell in these past few days. People losing their homes, animals, and had pure fear. I mean, pure fear. I Thank God and these Fire Fighters, the Rescue Workers, everyone for their prayers and concerns. Now let me have five minutes alone with this s.o.b to give him some PALM BAY JUSTICE. Five minutes... How dare him put fear into so many... just five minutes please....

I never knew an innocent man lighting his cigarette with a beer bottle full of gasoline? Then tossing both items in front of eyewitnesses in the woods causing a 10 X 10 fire. Fact is KIM from Duluth Ga, this guy is the classic arsonist...habitual criminal, single male, 31, and down on his luck. What does he have to lose? Is he the main firesetter...I do not believe so. There will be more arrests. I believe he is a coycat looking for a sick sense of notariety. Why run from the cops? Stupid move since you WILL get caught and get hurt bumps for running.
I just got back from there and I feel for the residents of Palm Bay who were inconvenienced by evacuating and those 170+ homeowners who lost everything to a group of wildfire setting thugs.
Also thanks to the Palm Bay community for taking care of us while we took care of all of you. I am sorry we could not get firefighters around sooner to quench all the fires. It was very frustrating to say the least. You all are truly wonderful people acting unselfish in the face of disaster coming together.

He was just taking a bottle of gas to his grandmother.
