im really surprised to hear that we are fighting about music. well let me tell ya i like music of all kinds but mainly country. and i play it loudly when i want to.i got a neighbor who plays her drums till 10 or 11 pm. you know what i dont care cause frankly she is good at it.i love music.this is really getting out of hand . people we have far more issues to deal with in this town. we dont need to knock on those who are just enjoying life.why dont we worry about if someone will brake into you house and kill you or rape you.there is far more things to worry about in this town and music is not one of them.i mean come on my whole block parties all the time. and its great. my street alone gets along great.we all party on weekends and weekdays.but one thing that we all do is look out for one another.and thats one thing alot of you out there dont do.instead of complaining about what your neighbor is playing why not try to get along and build a bond with each other.you will be much happier in the long run. and working together always pays off.we have way to many murders and rapes going on and break ins than to worry about music being played loud.

OKAY!you old farts that complain about music,i think us young adults need to create a coalition against ederly driving!you elderly people are reckless, creating way too many problems on our busy streets,i know from personal experience that half of
you elderly drive half blind, and even after leaving the eye doctors office from getting laser surgery, you still get back on our busy streets and drive, thats as bad as drinking and driving,so take heed cause were the ones that are not gonna have social security and all the lovely luxuries once available,so please stop the nagging and let us enjoy what little we have now!

I HAVE MY OWN RADIO. IF I WANT TO HEAR MUSIC I'LL LISTEN TO IT. I HATE PULLING UP AT A LIGHT AND THE MUSIC COMING FROM THE CAR NEXT TO ME IS SO LOUD I CAN'T HEAR MINE. IF YOU WANT IT LOUD THEN HAVE SOME RESPECT AND TURN IT DOWN AT INTERSECTION.

Y'all going crazy over loud music? What if y'all live here in Melbourne where the freight trains pass all various hours of the day and nights with their horns blasting while you try to get some sleep. Why the cops don't arrest the train driver for disturbing the peace. The noise from the trains is one, but he also blast the horns - no matter what time it is.

most cities have a noise ordiance and he was probably breaking that law by playing the loud music. the article stated that the officer asked him several times to turn down the music and he refused, and then he struglled with the officer. so he made the charges worse on himself. all he had to do was turn down the music, move on or wait for the officer to move on, then go about his business. I don't like loud music either, but to each their own, they are the ones that are going to be wearing the hearing aids at the age of 30.

Hey, Einstein (trendsetters). Opening up the windows does not make the bass sound better. In fact, you get more outside noise coming from outside that interferes with the music you're trying to enjoy.
And Watch Dog, you got us Generation X'ers confused. We've grown up and are in our 30's and early 40's now.
Sure, our music still sucks in your ears, but we don't blast it out of our cars like the kids do these days.
soldier622, what you're doing is just as cowardly. You can still stand up to them without damaging their property.
Ive been into car audio for 17 years now and rolling the windows down ( considering you have the subs in the back seat) does increase the DBs inside the vehicle, istead of being airtight the subs are allowed to flex more. therefore putting out more sound.. JL Audio Manager Matt Morelock

I work overnights, 10PM to 7AM. I do not get weekends off. I live in a predominantly hispanic area. The bass music goes off 24/7 around this area, and I cannot sleep. Don't play "blame the victim", and live up to your inconsiderate ways. I am young, yet I still am considerate enough not to blast bass music around residential areas while going 5 miles an hour with my windows open, or blasting it for hours in my apartment at the expense of my neighbors' quality of life.

I do listen to and enjoy loud techno. In my apartment, however, I am smart enough to TURN THE BASS OFF because low frequencies travel further through walls and are much more difficult to impede.(This is why many of you only hear the bass part of the music. I don't think it is a hard concept to realize). I also keep my windows closed so the higher frequencies have a harder time traveling.

When I listen to louder music in the car, I turn it down near residential areas. I try not to bother others with my interests.

To all who do not understand.. If you worked Overnights, not by choice, and tried struggling to get sleep during the day even with earplugs, you would understand. The impact on your quality of life is obvious. You will become paranoid to loud sounds, and you will have a difficult time sleeping with any type of noise because of this adjustment. You will get a burning sensation in your heart/stomach area, and a sense of anger inside. I hope some day you will truly understand, because this type of life is no way to live. Older people suffer heart attacks from the sudden onset of such bass music passing by, and I could see myself as one of these individuals if I stay living in this pathetic apartment I am in now. I still don't understand how you could be so inconsiderate to so many others. Just shut up and realize that you have a small penis. I am very thankful for those officers, and I hope the beatings continue until morale improves.

Just squeezed some tens in under the twelves behind the seats in my S-10. 1400 pure true watts was too much for just two eclipses anyways... four makes it better. Got a pre- Best Buy Fosgate BD 1000 mono amp sitting in the garage if anybody's interested. What is it with these bass haters and penis size references... makes me wonder who's really got the issues there ; )

Wow, you know there is a war going on right now right? I have 2 15's in my trunk, i love to blast my music also, like in the middle of the day.... on the freeway, not in my neighborhood, if someone asks me to turn it down, i do, its just being polite. It can always be easy to be consumed with your own point of view. Its sad that a simple compromise is always the furthest thing from everyones mind

Good. This carp has to go. People who listen to loud music regularly cannot find anything better to do.
Seems like you can't find anything better to do because u don't konw about subwoofer systems but u know all this medical crap and statistics about damages of loud bass. U probably sit in front of the computer monitor all day and jack off. I have a JBL/Crown 8,000 watt amp. in my truck and I smoke cigs and I can still breath!
