"known better as 'Billy'"

Typical red-neck name. They left out the Bob part though (Billy Bob).

Keep your ignorant comments to yourself. "Billy" is not "redneck", it is a nickname for WILLIAM. One of my close friend's name is "Billy" and he is British.

Any name can be considered re-neck or sophisticated, depending on the person referenced. Even the name Stephen can go either way. This particular story is not about the his nickname, but rather about his actions. I certainly hope he receives the maximum degree of punishment for that he has destroyed, physically and emotionally.

You just watch: he's going free on a technicality !!

Ill-advised confession without an attorney present. Police screwed up.

To hell with the suicide watch. Who cares if this dirtbagg offs himself. He needs to die for what he's done...but of course he won't. Like other pieces of garbage like this, he'll get "treatment" and be released in a few years and do it again. The cycle will continue.

Thank goodness his attorney finally made him stop cooperating. For awhile I was afraid it was all going to be a cut and dried case where the truth actually came out.

Even if he did not start the other fires, he admitted to starting the smaller ones. The potential for the loss of life and property in this climate is too great. He should get the maximum sentence, and if he is found to have started the original fires, then besides jail time, there should also be the case for restitution to the people who lost their homes.

Unfortunately, this piece of grabage probably has no money to his name. Maybe he needs to work it off....

Doesn't he have a right to free speech? Another example of the government trampling on the rights of the ordinary citizen.

Perhaps down the road, if he is found guilty, a deal can be cut for him to be paid to tell his story (for yet another made to tv movie) and the profits can be directed to those who lost their homes. I think that has been done in the past. I'm sure it would be like waiting on OJ to pay off his civil suit judgement, but at least not a complete loss.

Hard to say who's actually responsible for what. But I have to wonder... With so many one step ahead of the foreclosure man, were ALL of the lost homes "accidental"?? Just a thought...

Why the hell was this threat to public safety allowed out of prison in the first place? Clearly he was a career criminal and should never have been released once imprisoned.
