Inmates Escape from Putnam County Jail

Lovely. As if Putnam County hadn't had enough negative publicity lately, now we have this. Nice.

Thes guys are also responcible for a murder earlier to day, oh and Gale St John will be in Satuma to help with the Haleigh case and It has now been confirmed that Ronald lost his job!

More interesting news. Timothy Fletcher killed his grandmother and stole her car. They were last seen in Jacksonville. And as if all of this wasn't bad enough, instead of fixing all of the security problems with locks and what not at the jail, Jeff Hardy decided to outfit all of his road deputies with $8000.00 worth of new uniforms so that they would "look good". Sheriff's dept isn't looking so good now after all. What were the reasons for Ron losing his job?

It's all over CNN and HLN. Well here we go again. Putnam Co again receiving bad publicity. My heart goes out to Sheriff Hardy as to how much more he can take. My thoughts and prayers are with the Sheriff and the family of the grandmother. These two basterds need to be shot on site as that would save lots of tax $$$. I think it's about time we all start carrying our guns as citizens and learn how to propery use them to protect our families and property as it's only going to get worse. And now we have a president that wants to take away our constitution away and turn America into an anti Christian nation.

the cost to replace the equiptment that the prior sheriff messed up with is well over 100k,putnam nor the sheriffs office has any where near that in thier budget.can you imagine the money that has already been spent trying to locate this poor little girl?there is no budget large enough for that either.as far as poor ron loosing his job,he was probobly drug tested and failed.why dont we look into the doctors writing the prescriptions for these meds?? rta

I still believe that 8 grand would have at least fixed a few of the locks at the jail. I think protecting the public as well as the people who work at the jail is more important than what an officer or deputy is wearing. But that is just me.

The 8 grand figure came from the article in the Palatka Daily News on Tuesday April 14th and they even pictured the old uniform and what the new uniform will look like. And I agree that 8 grand is just a drop in the bucket with what all the jail maintenance and security costs would be, but still I believe the focus should be on safety and security for the public and the jail personnel and not so much on what the deputies are wearing. Personally, if I am ever in need of a deputy's assistance I can assure you that what they are wearing when they show up isn't going to matter to me at all.

24 million in drug have been rounded up in Putnam, with this kinda drug bust something is gonna happen soon in this case..

Putnam Deputies are searching cars illegally at the foot of the Memorial Bridge, no explanations. Traffci is backed up for miles.

Coming home today from our property in San Mateo, FL we saw a police officer in the middle of the road at 100 with a shot gun in hand! Then driving out past the veg. stand there was a road block with police with machine guns etc. looking in every car! This was crazy! Then I get home to see that they are looking for the escapees! ekkk. You are right NOT good publicity for our sleepy little florida town!
