While there IS a tendency for some parents to over induldge *some* kids out of over compensation, guilt and other completely understandable feelings...: if a teacher or ANYONE has resorted to physical punishment such as this then they have no business working any children, disabilities or none.
You sure as hell aren't "teaching" by harming a child. I took my current class of kids K-3 from a teacher who thankfully quit. It took me almost a solid year to undo the damage she'd done by verbally abusing the kids. |
