H.R. 5741 will give the president the authority “To require all persons in the United States between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, to authorize the induction of persons in the uniformed services during wartime to meet end-strength requirements of the uniformed services, and for other purposes.”

yeah it is about time haven't we buried enough of our men and women, what the hell is wrong with you do you want to bury your son or daughter husband or wife you are an idiot...yeah it is time we are forced to see our loved ones put into slavery what the hell is wrong with you.let oboma go to Iraq an fight for once, and leave our loved ones out of it. i believe in fighting for freedom but this is slavery.you enlisted because you wanted too but what they are talking is that they can just pick you up off of the street and make you go.that should be up to the people if they want to enlist.if you fought for our country my hat is offto you thank you for that but they are a lot at stake here. our freedom and our families this is something that i am not willing to take that chance with family means everything to me.

It is like the draft. They didn't pick us off the street. They drafted us to do our duty for our country. This bill is not conscription, just service to our country.

I don't owe the government jack shit! I pay taxes. Isn't that enough? If they do pass this, I'll refuse to go unless they put the barrel of a gun to my head.

Yeah, there should be a clause in the bill.

"those with out jobs and able to work are chosen first among the population."
