I saw Joan for the first time in about 1985. She told me that terrorists were going to knock down the tallest buildings in New York, but not until the 21st Century.

You can imagine my skepticism, but she wrote it down on a piece of paper, along with several other things that sounded crazy and outlandish at the time.

Oddly, most of the things she predicted, both personal and "world events" have since come to pass.

I've long since left Paducah, but whenever I go back, I always try to see Joan. She is remarkably accurate sometimes. When she's off - she is WAY off.

But it is always insightful, entertaining, and creates a great deal of self-reflection. I like her very much.
