The fact is sum1 is always going to complain. It is sad that a boys mom chooses not to let him play baseball. you stick all 8 boys on team & get chance to play would have many more complaining....many people interview for jobs or make offers on property or cars or whatever. Think suum1 should apply for these ladies jobs and then get on here & complain if they dont get it or at least get to split time & $ w/her...

Section 1:6 3. The maximum number of players a team is required to carry on their roster is 13. Voluntary maximum shall be 15 players on any team. Permission for more than 15 players may be obtained from the League Board.
The rules do in fact allow for the absorbtion of extra players. i rest my case, you are wrong AGAIN!

Prob u & mom would b part of 6 & still complaining. the system has been set up for over 30 years & try to do the best they can for the whole. plz at least learn the system b4 complaining. These r unpaid volunteers that try to help the whole(nothing to do w/the jaded/bitter politics many r talking about)...use common sense- the more players/teams the league has, the better it does.

How many teams are theret in the 11 year old age group? One? sounds like it may be time to try and expand the to (2) teams. Maybe if some of these kids thought they had a fighting chance, they would sign up, therefore giving you enough players for 2 teams. I suggested expanding the league earlier in this thread, and was even ridiculed for that. If you only have 1 team in the 11 year old age group....is that what you consider successful?

OK, this is gone on for too long. After sign ups there were 8 boys left over. This means that these eight boys were not on a team last year. Ballard had several also. In hopes of expanding the league, the people that run ballard and the people that run heath made an agreement. Whomever found a coach first would get that team. Ballard found a coach first. So they got the team. Each parent WAS contacted including the original poster (MOM). Mom you have elected not to take your child to Ballard. Fine, that is your decision to make and everyone can sympathise with running your children all over the place. However, you have been called, the people that run the league have kept up with the number of times that they have called you. You have not answered. They want to refund your money, kinda hard to speak with you when they can't leave a message on your phone. I understand that you have left messages, but when they call you and you can't answer because your busy then don't complain. To point out, you made this public, so don't be upset when people get on here and voice their opinion. That's what people do, we voice our opinion. Of course it get's out of hand, that is what happens on this site. People just like to argue. Meridian- thank you for contributing to the arguments, however, you are the one that keeps saying how narrow minded we are, yadda, yadda, yadda. You have insulted me personally. Quite frankily, you are acting like a child. Threats and empty promises of change. I want to educate you on something really quick. IF and thats a big IF someone were to actually slap you.....sorry but they wouldn't go to jail. It's called Assault 4th, it's a misdemeanor. And there are only a few misdemeanor's that do not occur in an officers presence that are arrestable, Assault 4th is not one of them. And I do know, because I do have a "little shinny badge" as you like to say. At most, when it went to court they would end up with a fine. Since you like referance material you can validate this by looking up Kentucky Revised Statue Chapter 508.030, that covers assault 4th. Powers of arrest are covered in KRS Chapter 430. Further, the person that made the comment said, "I Wish" didn't say they were going to hunt you down and assault you, It was fantasy, and fortuanately we can't be arrested for fantasy in this country, yet anyways.

Number 1: NEVER think you can tell me how long I can voice my opinion...EVER! Understand? Right or wrong, I have that right. Number 2: As long as one child is turned away from your simple league, I AM going to voice concern, just get used to it, or leave this thread. Number 3: Have you ever heard of terroristic threatening? It's against the law and people have been arrested for less. And should it EVER happen, fantasy or not, I'll pursue the law as far as I can. I hope this is plain now. I'll not tolerate this behavior for one second. Number 4: Do you not have "Mom's" address? Why do you have to call her to send her refund, this is the most lame excuse I've ever heard. This being stated, I'm removing myself from any and all updates from this thread. There's no way I could care any less about anything you have to say. I'm tired of your excuses. Until it's time to organize fall ball, farewell!

Meridian,
Seems I stuck a nerve....so in response
Number 1- I never said anything about how long you can voice your opinion.
Number 2- Your concern was answered, the child was not turned away from the league. And to answer me leaving this thread read your number 1 and that is my response to you. I served this country and defended both our rights to do so. And your welcome for that.
Number 3- Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree (1) Except as provided in KRS 508.075 or 508.078, a person is guilty of terroristic threatening in the third degree when: (a) He threatens to commit any crime likely to result in death or serious physical injury to another person or likely to result in substantial property damage to another person; or (b) He intentially makes false statements for the purpose of causing evacuation of a building, place of assembly, or facility of public transportation. (2) Terroristic threatening in the third degree is a Class A misdemeanor.
So in short yes I have heard of it and it dosnt fit.
Number 4- No I do not have her address.
Set! Match! oh wait this is baseball....Grand Slam!

He still doesn't get the point that no child was turned away from playing ball. The "Mom" was offered a spot on a Ballard team. So stop saying the child was not givin the chance to play. It is not Heaths fault if she either doesn't want or cant afford for her child to play ball in Ballard. Yes fall ball at Lone Oak may be the answer for this year but when it comes to signups for next year, her child is still not on a team and she will probably have to take him to another area. Still within the league but a different area. Sorry! It's not politics or mean. It's the rules!

If you knew anything you would know that Heath has nothing to do with Fall Ball. The Heath teams can practice at Heath but all games are at lone oak and to sign a child up she will have to sign up in lone oak and most likely put on a lone oak team. Still come spring, he will have to sign up at Heath bc he cannot always stay with the team he was assigned for Fall. In the end my point is, if u think you are gonna make big changes at Heath during Fall Ball you r wrong... Lol so good luck with that!

I freely admit I've not read this entire thread. However, what I have read confirms my belief that kids' sports teams are created and run for the parents' gratification rather than the well being of the children. Kids play late, even when school is in session, adults fight over who does/says what, and we have all seen or heard about the violence that sometimes occurs. Adults scream a kids who make mistakes. Sad.
