Local restaurant is in violation if health code by allowing a server with hepatitis to continue to work with the public . They are aware of the servers drug use and condition and does nothing to stop the danger to public safety .

That is not against health code. An employer cannot ask or demand tests for that type of thing. As long as the server isn't bleeding all over the place (which WOULD be a violation, and of course isn't allowed) then you have no reason to worry about it. Maybe you should take your issue up with the health department instead of starting an anonymous Internet rant that solves nothing

Hepatitis is a disease. You can't stop someone from working because of a disease. And that's not a health code violation either. Sounds like you work with this person and are jealous in some way.

no just noticed some unhealthy practices by this person and so does management but nothing is done about it. No jealousy the person in question is really nice I just think more precautions should be taken

The only way you can get hep-c is through blood and sex. That is what a doctor told me.

If it is cooked then it kills it. But contaminated food should be thrown out regardless if u have a disease or not. If a restaurant isn't doing that then they are in violation. Has nothing to do with a persons disease. Employers can't ask u if u have a disease when they hire u. They would be sued.

Hep c can only be contracted though exposure to blood, transfusions, sharing needles, sharing tooth brushes, etc. There is less than a 1% chance of it spreading during sexual relations.

Hep a&b are spread much easier. If a food handler uses the restroom and does not thoroughly wash their hands before touching your prepared food, drink refill, or instrument that come into contact with you it can be spread.

Hep c has less than 2% chance of being transmitted with tooth brushes. It is blood borne only. In a monogamous relationship where 1 person is positive and 1 is negative, over their entire lifetime they only have a 2-4% chance of infecting the negative person. That is them kissing, having sex, sharing drinks, and everything else a married couple does. Unless u r a drug user, u really have no worries about catching this disease. Hep b most are vaccinated against. Hep b is rare. Hep a is food borne. This is the only one to be concerned at all about. But hep a is the "most curable" (I guess u could say)

Hope this helps clear things up

Very correct. I'm glad someone else knows. People need to relax a bit. These diseases are not casual contact diseases. If everyone washes their hands, we would cut down on a whole lot of germs and such. As a general rule If you practice good hand washing then you don't have much to worry about. That goes for any disease or illness really.
