Old Paden Hotel

Does anyone know what happened to the old hotel that used to be in Paden down by the old high school? does anyone know the history of it? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

it burned down.. i do know some history on it but dont have time just this second to tell it.. but it burned because some people i know was playing and it caught fire and burned .... very sad i loved it. i used to go visit mary and jerri when they still lived there. and my daddy took me upstairs several times. mary never let anyone up there but him.

If you get a chance, would you describe what it looked like up there? And fill me in on the history? I took care of Mary in the nursing home years ago. She was quite a character. My papa always said that she was the best cook around. Any info you have would be great. thanks

I lived in Paden from 1955 to 61 from the time I was 3. I knew the town like back of my hand being a kid. My sister used to help Mary clean the hotel. I remember her taking me to work with her one day and Mary sat me up on a table and gave me a bisquit to eat. Paden was a great little town back then. I have a pic of the hotel I took some years later but I would have to find it. It was just a big tall square house located across from Mitchells laundry. When did you live in Paden? I lived there from 1955 to 1961. My sister worked for Mary doing cleaning.
