I think he deserves to go home nobody at the age he was deserves to spend the rest of there lives in prison he made a mistake,but yet the legal system seems to think that him spend the rest of his natural born life there while we pay for it the whole point of prison is to be reformed there not giving him time to be reformed there giving him a death sentence. Thyey need to release him so he can get past this and try to better his life.

He didn't even commit the crime, the people he was with did and the judge is mentally impared.

I can't believe you guy's are saying for him to be released. He was with these people when they commited this crime. Did he stop it? No! Maybe not spend the rest of his life in prison but he should serve time. What if that was your child, grandchild, sister or brother that were tied up and held at gun point? You'd feel differently then. It's people like you that make this world as screwed up as it is today. Just slap them on the hand and let them go. Boy's will be boy's mentality.

But before that, Korum apologized.

“I come before the court today as a different person the court has not seen,” he said, noting he’d not been accountable for his crimes in the past.“Going to prison with a 100-year sentence changed my life. I no longer want to be the person who led me to prison.”

He described a childhood full of worry that culminated with his selfishness and love of guns, drugs and alcohol, which changed him into the “monster” he feared.

“It’s my promise to every victim in this case that I will never commit another crime as long as I live,” he said.

Korum’s case became infamous for the turns it took, and the long sentence he received.

In 1997, Korum and four friends posed as sheriff’s deputies and robbed five drug dealers’ homes, holding guns on people and tying up children. After their arrests, the five made plea deals with prosecutors and got sentences between six and 23 years.

Two years into his 11-year sentence, Korum withdrew his guilty plea and decided to take his chances at trial. Prosecutors doubled the charges against him, and Korum ended up convicted of 30 crimes in 2001 and sentenced to 100 years in prison.
