New treatment aids local cancer patient

I was just recently diagnosed with cancer. My first surgery is scheduled for 6/24. i would like to hear from others prior to this procedure.my email addresses is gett48@yahoo.com I am totally ignorant to any of the facts about cancer. the doctors tell me my life span has been limited but i refuse to believe this. the cancer is in my colon and may have already spread to my liver. please reply. i am from chicago i have been here in lafayette indiana for eight months visits to doctor began 6/5. i have one son here with me age 11 no other family is available.
