UFO Sighting: Owings Mills, Maryland; January 1, 2008

ok this sounds crazy. Let me start by saying I am a young adult educated female in the medical profession. I am certainly not in the habit of buying into anything like UFO's or such (although I do not discount them) I will tell you I did not notice anything on January 8 but 4 am January 16, 2008 I woke from a bad dream (which I hardly ever have). I looked out my window and I def. saw something that was not a satellite or an airplane or helicopter. It sat in the North West Sky. I am in the Beckleysville/Pretty Boy Dam/Hampstead area. Please if anyone noticed this please tell me what it was. It was in the sky for 47 minutes that I obseerved and then, as strange as this is to write, it "zipped" out of my sight so fast I could not keep up with my binoculars.

I did not see that, but back in 6/7/2001 i saw a ufo over Frederick at about 2 am.
it rotated for over 10 min than sped off at great speed.
It was being illuminated by the suns reflection at great elevations.

I was outside last night about to go to the gym as I usually do during the week when I saw a blue ball of light streak across the sky at amazing speed for about 2 seconds. It was WAY too cloudy to be a shooting star and was very low in comparison...looked like it was 30-40,000 ft. I have seen many of shooting stars but this was NOT one of them. It's blue color freaked me out and I was pretty moved by the experience.

Well... I am in Los Angeles. You can't see the sky due to obtrusive light created by humans, but I believe in UFOs.

I, too, am a professional married woman living in Owings Mills. I have told my husband twice that I have seen strange things in the sky here. I have become so obsessed with it that I finally found this site with other postings about strange things in the sky in this area. I know what I saw....but, just can't explain it. My husband thinks I've flipped my lid. I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one! Do you think it's military tests of some sort?

I kept seeing a srange light around 2 am it would move around for about an hour then zip off like it's driver was drunk. My fiance thought I lost my mind until I got the strange light on video, it showed red,blue, green, & yellow spinning very fast. I still don't know what it is but It was breathtaking to watch the video. Has anyone else seen this or know what it might be?

My 14-year-0ld son and I both witnessed around 10:20 p.m. at least five or six bright oval objects line up in formation across the sky and then joined by two other bright objects in the Eastern sky. They were a distance away and not overhead. They were bright orange in color and oval in shape and were hovering for a while then two more light objects of the same color appeared and moved up to meet the other lights. They eventually disappeared out of sight. At first my son thought they were meteors but they definitely weren't. I stood there in amazement. I have never witnessed anything like it.

I forgot to mention in the comment I just posted that I live west of Frederick, MD.

I live near Loch Raven Dam and have several times saw unusual lighted objects in the sky near the DAM area that were not normal aircraft due to their irratic flying behavior. UFO's - maybe???

My girlfriend and I were on our way home on 695 eastbound on August 24 2008 around 9pm to 10pm. In between 795 and 83, there was an aircraft hovering almost directly above the beltway. We rolled down the windows to hear if it was a helicopter or not...no sound other than the cars around us. I was wondering if anyone else had seen this, and if so, if they had an explanation as to what it was.

Rob, I saw something last night (9/1/08), while passing near Baltimore. It emitted green and red light. It flashed. My g-friend thought it was a helicopter but it moved with such a guided precision. I've never witnessed something in the sky moving that way. We could not make out the shape of the object.

U.S., Loch Raven Dam Maryland: Two young men observed an egg-shaped object hovering above Bridge No. 1 over the reservoir. It was 100 feet long, 125 feet in altitude, and glowing a dim white. Their car went dead 75 to 80 feet from the bridge, or about 200 to 300 feet from the UFO. After leaving the car and watching for another 45 seconds, they saw the UFO flash brilliantly white, shoot straight up, and disappear from view in 5 to 10 seconds. There was a loud noise as the object left, as well as an increased sensation of heat. The witnesses later noticed that their skin had been reddened on the side facing the object.(Blue Book)

If there were actually aliens trying to invade us ..i wouldnt give a shit. i cant be alone.
our country and government are in a shit hole with no end in site. maybe we should give the aliens power for the next 4 years and see what they can do with economy.

i was in my truck on may 21,2008 and i noticed a large blue object with pulsating lights around the middle flying at a high speed alot faster than any conventional or airfore plane it moved across the entire sky in the time it took me to blink twice! i dont know what it was but it was not any kind of airplane that i have ever seen before!

I saw strange lights in above the bay in Ocean City, MD on September 3rd, 2008 late in the evening. They appear to look exactly like the phoenix lights. There was no sound, they were amber in color, and came and went within a few minutes. At first there was just a seemingly rectangular amber brightness and then off to the right five round orbs of amber light appeared and light up one right after the next. Who can be sure...but wow...I have never seen anything like that...my father, mother and sister all witnessed it as well. No one could say that was something they could explain or had ever seen.

During the late afternoon as the tropical storm Hanna passed through our region, northwest of Baltimore City, we say a rainbow in the sky.

I ran in to get my Canon A510 digital camera, and began to sanp pictures of it. I also took a 30 second film clip of this beautiful rainbow too before it faded into the grey clouds in the sky.

Upon viewing the film clip, I noticed a triangle shaped object that had moved so swift it was only in 3 frames of the film clip - my camera takes video clips at 15 frames per second. That is why my wife and I did not see it with our naked eyes, it was far too fast to be a bird - having taking film clips of birds at 15 cps to compare the results. Given the distance - with camera on 4X zoom - I estimated the speed of the object at about 3,000 mph ar faster. It also made a right angle turn from one film frame to the next, and vanished until futher down the film clip - where it re-appeared in one frame and then vanished - like someone turned off a light.

I do not know for sure if it was a true UFO or some secret government aircraft - it was sure exciting to find it on my film clip when I didn't even see through the view finder of my Canon A510, a very excellent camera.

I did view the same area of the sky for a few nights, hoping to see it again - nothing happened!

My husband and I were staying at a hotel in Ocean City, MD September 4 & 5th. There were definintely UFO's there the night of the 5th, several lights that changed form bright white to orange then red. They danced all over the sky, sometimes together then traveling separately very quickly. It lasted several minutes and I know others at the Holiday Inn saw them because people were all out in the balconies watching. We/ve been going to OC for 20 years and never saw anything like that. No way were they famliar to our planet
