The best solution to the whole problem is to end all means-tested benefit programs that give people money to spend, and instead put 100% of that money into improving homeless shelters, free education, etc. People who are poor enough to need welfare should stay off drugs, not drink, not buy luxuries, and instead spend all their time improving themselves, with more education, etc., to be able to support themselves without any kind of welfare-related benefits.

Meanwhile, if people abuse EBT, it's your own damn fault, for not having the brains to influence your elected officials to put the above plan into action. EBT is there to be abused. People need to keep abusing it as much as possible, till all the morons get a clue, and start to realize it's counterproductive, and should be ended. Meanwhile, those who don't abuse it are asking for it to continue, and are therefore bad citizens. And people who complain about the abuse are even worse. They should be discussing better ways to abuse such programs, to end them faster, instead of complaining about the abuse, to protect the programs and continue them into the future.

Who said anything about judging? Shouldn't the ones paying taxes decide how it gets spent? Doesn't matter why someone needs ebt, I have had it before. Its a matter of how it is spent

I have ebt, and me and my family get steaks and good food. Yea we might not get in every month but we do sometimes, and we still get by for the month in food. So just because she's going and buying ribeyes don't mean shes in the wrong, shes buying food like shes supposed too.

Also, if I could cure cancer and wipe away all problems, I would. We are all one breath from being diagosed or in an accident, life can change or end in an instance. We can't control the unknown. So please forgive us when we get upset because we can't control how our taxes are spent.
Its like a slap in the face when someone is buying steaks w/ ebt and you can't even buy decent food for your family.

Some people actually need the assistance and don't abuse it. Kudos to them and I hope they are able to get out of whatever rut they may be in.
