No. I am just being honest. I realized that having a child might make it more difficult to date someone or marry someone because I have emotional connections to my son's father and have to deal with him on parenting issues and the drama associated with having another adult as a part of the relationship. Plus, if you knew my situation in dealing with my step children's mother and their emotional baggage from being in her care, then maybe you would understand what I mean about children being baggage, and they can most definitely be a hindrance when it comes to dating.

None of this means that I don't absolutely love my children. And if I really cared about not being single for the rest of my life, I wouldn't have picked to be a single mom. It just means that I am realistic, something that all of you are failing to do.

Your children should come before any thoughts of dating. I don't need a woman to raise my children. They have a mother and father that love them and if I am single forever that's ok. I chose to have kids and I choose to raise them over making myself happy. They are first in my life and always will be. There would be less children depressed and killing themselves if parents would be involved in their lives and not make them feel like they are a burden to their parents love lives.

Ladies! Let me warn you about Dbag06! He's my recent ex and broke up with me because he "said" I came between him and his son when I didn't! I refused to give him a ride because he made me mad by saying I wasn't a decent person! He didn't have his license or insurance on his car at the time so that's why I had to drive him everywhere, oh and no job. So, he found another ride to go see his son, which was his responsibility to do anyway. This was the ONLY time I refused to give him a ride to see his son in the 9 months we dated and guess what he did?....He broke up with me!

So from what I have read in this thread about single dads staying single because they always put their kids first almost so much to the point where they don't think about the other person's feelings of who they are with is true with this guy! STAY AWAY! He'll just drag you down and his family (mainly his sister) is nothing but drama! That's all I will say. Goodbye!:)
