Lasik Eye Surgery

I am interested in getting lasik eye surgery and wanted some opinions. Is it worth it, who are the best Dr.'s, is it painful, how long of a recovery time, ect........?

best thing you could ever do for yourself. Get a good doctor with lots of years experience. No pain, recovery time is just a couple days. I had mine done 15 years ago, so don't know who the good doctors around here now. I had mine done in Evansville before there was anyone in Owensboro doing them.

I did it a couple of years ago. I love it. It was shocking to be able to see with 20/20 vision without glasses or contacts.

I don't remember recovery time being too bad. I don't even remember missing work at all. I think you are supposed to keep your eyes closed for 6 hours afterwards and avoid sunlight for a couple of weeks.

Your vision will gradually get better afterwards and mine actually ended up being 20/20.

The procedure wasn't too painful (but definitely didn't feel pleasant). They clamp your eyes so you won't close them.

I also went to Dr. Malitz in Evansville and he was great. I did the Custom Vue, which is more expensive but it is supposed to have better results.
