I can't believe the Huntington Townhouse is being sold. I got married there back in September 2001. It will be sad to see it go.

The Towne House is screwing the people that already reserved for their affair. They should at least stop booking and close after the last affair is done. We need another Loews on Long Island like we need Cancer. From the sky , Long Islnand rooftops are Orange, Blue, orange , blue. what the heck man!?

What a shame. My parents were married at the Town House in 1960. Huntington's landscape will never be the same without that view of the staircase and huge chandelier shining so brightly. This is truly sad news.

When I had my wedding reserved there Rhona told me that they were not closing, and she would always be there for her clients....She lied to me then and she is lieing now..... I hope Lowes doesn't close on the Townhouse and she looses all of her money. She is a thief, a lier, and a bad person. Who needs a Lowes anyway

Too bad that money hungry owner is screwing people out of their weddings. The buzz has been for over a year this place was being sold. it was for condos but that now changed to a lowes. I remember as a kid in the 60's what a palace this was, but the last few years it has become a joke to have a wedding there, It has become just terrible. what can you do long island is full of closed strip malls and mega stores

I feel sorry for the rats, mice and roaches where are they going to live now . they better bomb the place with tons of poisons before the bulldozer hits that place . or any homes within a few blocks will be in trouble.

We love those colors in south. Especially if you follow college football, GO GATORS! p.s yu are right about them booking those affairs, they should stop it now. According to the article they are now returning deposits.

We took all our pictures on the stairs under that beautiful chandelier. I am going to miss seeing it too on my visits to Long Island.

Gee, that was the first place I was ever announced by heraldic trumpets. Come to think of it, it was the last place too.

Everyone need to make a profit in this world. She brought millons of beautiful memories to many many families. She should be commended not slandered. Shame any of you for critizing her and her personal decision as for her brother he must be the president of the slanderous fan club. I hope her brother gets nothing. And yes businesses make decisions over night with every right to. I wish Rhona all the luck and happiness in the world.

I worked there for a while in the 80's...it was disgusting! No fresh food due to kosher allowances..everything frozen-and still for top $$$$. Food prep , cleanliness, attention to detail left little to be desired. It was a wedding and special event factory. Still, another Loews in the world is'nt needed!!
