They already get so much more sales tax money than many cities its size due to the Smith Farm Marketplace and Owasso Market.

Add in a Gymboree, or atleast a Gymboree Outlet!!! This area would make good use of it. The website for this promotion is lame as of date, this would be more appealing of a promotion if it offered some sort of incentive like the Buy BA/Coweta $$$ tickets.

My daughter lives in Owasso. It's a great place to raise a family. The stores are clean, the schools are good, the people are friendly and the people seem to take pride in their town. A lot of Tulsans have moved to Owasso and while I love Tulsa and will remain here, it's easy to see why a lot of Tulsa families have moved there.

That is what city planning does for you. It is a lot easier to get around in than the mess at Promenade and the 71st street zoo.

Sorry- Owasso sux. Big bedroom community full of losers from EDS (an HP company) and American Airlines. Don't forget the Owasso Character Council... what is the "character trait" of the month?

Local money to solve local problems sounds great, but how many of these folks work in Tulsa and then go spend their money in Owasso, because that's keeping their money in their own community? What about people who earn their money in Tulsa also spending their money in Tulsa?

"Big bedroom community" full of people who work, take care of their property, send their kids to school and take pride in their city. Owasso "sux" so much that people are leaving Tulsa to move there and raise their families. Owasso "sux" so much that new businesses are not afraid to move in. Never heard of this "Character Council" but they must be doing something right. While most cities and towns across Oklahoma are losing businesses, Owasso is growing. And no, I don't live in Owasso.

How about we start paying personal property tax like they do in kansas. Owasso wouldnt have budget issues anymore if everyone paid personal property tax. Try living in Kansas and see how much more expensive it is to live there than here. If owasso needs to raise taxes than so be it.

Kansas does not have excise tax, they prefer personal property tax that everyone lies about owning.

I promise.. we would never bash the President of the United States of America.. that would be so very wrong.
We just don't like him, his policies, his politics, his cabinet, his lies, his appointments, his voice and mostly... his ears bug me. But we do respect the office.
Your big fat ass bugs me. But I do respect your office (the street, I presume?)
