The rest of the developement will be the surface systems that have very bad reputations for longivity, quality and odor. Hmmmmmm 80,000 for a lot, 250,000 for the house and a back yard that smells like doodle. The sanitary sewer will be all underground into Stone Canyon. The Tulsa/Rogers county line is at 145th. The city will consider annexing 990 acres tonight ( http://www.cityofowasso.com/agendas_city_coun... ) under the consent agenda. Tulsa county nor Rogers county will be sharing the cost of this sanitary sewer line. The City of Owasso will be getting a loan from the state of Oklahoma to build it at a estimated cost of $5.2 million.

Seems kind of like a stupid idea for Owasso, but I'm starting to get the idea that maybe some good ole boy politics is a big part of this. The "I'll scratch your butt if you scratch mine" sort of thing perhaps???

No, but one of the good old boys in Owasso tried to put forty 1000 sq. ft houses on the land behind my house that won't perk. They were going to use the irrilater system and we found out all the problems with the system, potential health problems, water run off of sewage into creeks that go through parks where children play. We told Rogers county that if they permitted it they would be in court along with the developer and the epa would be called in. It never happened.

I am considering buying a lot or two in the gated area but admit to having some concerns over the proximity to the mining operations,(blasting). The better regulated use of explosives is touted but I still feel the shock all the way into ScissorTail Ridge.
