Mormons planning to build temple in Phoenix

I am so glad to see that we are building more and more temples. Congrats to Pres. Thomas S. Monson being the new President of the church. I know you will do a very good job.

I to am so excited to see 3 new Temples to be built here. It was our LDS pioneers who tamed this valley, and made it also bloom. So when all is said and done 5 new Temples, Yes ...

Let'em build their buildings...they are very attractive outside...however shallow and hollow on the inside.

Hate? you apparently have no idea what a temple is. and unfortunatly i'm almost positive you do not care.

You should however educate yourself better before stating falsehoods about our beliefs.

I truly hope you will one day understand how sacred our temples are.

so sad that people are so closed minded and hate full, but it is signs of the times and if someone does not understand something and are scared of it, they attack, instead of becoming educated.We have lived with this hatred for a long time and will continue till peace is in this world,one day soon...

That was an amazing statistic about how busy the Mesa Temple is. No wonder so many are planned for AZ. Too bad they could put one of them in Tuscon, but I guess they're not enough appreciative Saints there.

Plus, you have to pay to get into heaven, not literally pay to get in, but most of the religon is centered on giving the church money.

I have NEVER seen or heard of Mormons tagging everything in sight with spray paint.

Never heard of Mormon gangs killing and selling drugs and terrorizinf neighborhoods and towns.

You are demonstrating your own stupidity with your comments. Although I don’t know for certain if your assessment of Joseph Smith’s education is even accurate, I’m curious as to what you think you know about the formal education of Jesus Christ? Did he have a third grade education? If you are going to sit in judgment on anyone lacking an extended formal education, you will find yourself judging some of the greatest people in history, who I venture to say have accomplished more than you ever have or will.

All churches expect their members to tithe. That is scriptural. The difference with the Mormons, from what I have seen, is that they will actually use those financial resources to help members who are struggling financially, rather than allow them to sit on their butts and collect welfare. But I have never heard of an instance in the Mormon Church where you could pay x amount of money to be absolved for a sin. That would be Catholicism.

I could care less how educated jesus was, he is not my god.

I am sorry for the neighborhood that is getting the temple. they only like you if you are a Mormon. there are a few that are nice people. most look down on you.

well I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I am so excited to see more Temples here in the Valley. I do not look down my nose at anyone. It is so sad people feel this way about me and my religion. please do not judge me, as the saying goes do not judge a book by it's cover, or you will miss something wonderful....

Well there is no stopping it -- where ever they want to put that house of demon worship they will. How excited can people get over a place that baptizes the dead, and has marriages for time and eternity so the mormon women can join her husband who is now a God on a distant planet to stay pregant forever. He also had lots of wives there and handmaidens. Sounds like something out of Colorado City! Seems like they have all ignored the last sentence in Rev., with their idea of a message!
