I have never in a million seen a town that is soooo in need of change with refusal to do so. The electric rates are unbelievable. As compared to Weststar and KCPL we pay double electric that their customers pay..I have never heard one person say anything..When you go thru the hoops to get elec turned on they don't say along with the deposit you need lubricant cause you are going to take it in the shorts. City provides no where to recycle mulch and the landfill is too expensive for many people to use. Hind sight being 20/20 guess the joke is on me for moving here.

I have asked about a diff electric. So I am told no other company wants this area due to cost to update it. I agree on all accounts.

TO Guest #1 and Christina - Check your facts, after KCP&L and Westar's recently approved rate increases at the KCC - electric rates in Osawatomie are very much comparable to any of these investor owned utilities. certainly not the DOUBLE you clearly have overexagerated.
Paola water rates are 3 times as expensive as Osawatomie's and only getting worse. KCPL will continue to go to the KCC for higher rates - one more trip to the trough and they will be higher than Osawatomie's.
Get your facts straight before you show your ignorance for the world to read.
