Royal City drag races.

I recently talked with some street rod enthusiants who have attended the Royal City Drag Races held on a private airstrip off of Hwy 26. What you need to understand is that the street rod and performance aftermarket industry is huge! Many people are looking for the old style nostalgic racing events to relax, compete and enjoy themselves. From what I have seen from video, this could be a really big event for the Royal city area, bringing in many dollars in revenue. However safety is a major issue. Also some of the people with high dollar cars who attended this event were very concerned about the crowds demeanor and conduct. If organized and managed better this could be a very large venue drawing people from western and eastern Washington numerous times a year, which would impact the the community in a positive way.

If drag racers and fans go to this hodunk town where are they going to stay and eat? The royal hotel and Browines Corner.
This town is a joke and does not have the facilities to hold and or promote drag racing
