Oswego mom, children killed

Does any one know this family? Go to school w/ the kids?

Jesus Christ...what is this world coming to...within a week an Indiana man allegedly kills his step daughter then himself....an other man in Indiana is found disembowled....and yet another in Indiana...20 yr old allegedly beats and stomps to death a 15 yr old...in Wisconsin a man kills three ladies and his own twin babies then himself....now this........and these are only the ones we've all heard of....unbelieveable...what a damn shame!....MY deepest sympathies and prayers to all.

this is a sad story to here. Most men r crazy but they shouldnt kill people Even thouth so much has happened in Oswego i cant believe somthing like this would happen again. its a shame to live in this city all kids should be afraid to walk out of there house now. everyone please watch out for each other. we dont want this to happen to other families!!!!

Unfortunately, they didn't even have to walk out of their house to be safe. They are claiming their own father did it.

I don't know who this family is but I do know that they were featured in an article in the Chicago Sun-Times. The picture that accompanies the article of them was in the paper, it had something to do with their house, I think it was in the real estate section. They were pictured in their new home I think. When I saw the picture I new I saw it before.

The 5 pm news is saying the husband is not a suspect. And it was reporting sources stating she shot him then the kids then herself..wow..

Maybe that's what happened, but after the police do some gunpower residue tests on the mother and father they'll know who fired the gun. If she fired the weapon then there will be heavy concentrations of residue on her hand and arm. Being in such close proximity to the rest of the family I wouldn't be surprised if there's residue on everyone, but it should be concentrated on the shooter's hand.

This is all a shame, I am just sick to my stomach. My heart goes out to their families and friends!

Wow channel 5 news just said that the mother was shot under the chin and the gun found next to her. The father is saying to cops that he got out to fix the luggage rack because it was loose and when he went to get out the women shot him. This is just all sad!

It will be hard to believe that she was the shooter and not him. She was shot once but they are not saying if self inflicted or not. The kids were shot multiple times. On CNN they said it's very rare that a mother would shoot the kids like this in front of the husband and then for him to be only shot in the leg??? I will wait until more info comes out.

It will all come out in the end...God willing.

I will be interested to see if they stick to that because a lot of time they don't want to put the suspect on the defensive and it's easier to gt them to talk if they think they are being helpful instead of under suspicion. I guess we will all find out soon enough.

Maybe it was just me but in watching the press conference tonight on the news I still get the impression its the father, something about the way the way they worded < getting to the truth of what REALLY happened<

Yep, it seems strange that she was so set on killing her kids and herself, but was only concerned with wounding her husband. Sounds fishy to me. If I were going to inflict a gunshot wound on myself, I probably would shoot myself in a limb so it wouldn't be life-threatening. We'll see what the Police come up with.

and why did the neighbors hear gunshots at 230 ish and the call not made until after 5? the paper this morning said that when he got back in the car that she shot him , so he took off and when he came back they were all dead, now granted it's never easy to say what you would do if you are not in that situation, but me as a mom, would like to feel if my children were in a car and their father had just shot at me with a gun, that I damned sure wouldn't have run so far that I would not see if they were in danger, and after i moved out of danger and heard more gunshots, i would have returned and fought with my life to save my kids, IN OTHER WORDS, none of this is adding up , my instinct, its only a matter of time before the husband is charged

This story is just haunting me - because none of it makes sense. The father gets shot and runs off ? He has to flag down another motorist to call 911 (they had a gun in the car but no cell phone ???) First the father claimed it was a passerby that shot them - then changed his story... The neighbor heard what she thought were gun shots around 10pm the night before... I know someone who was their next door neighbor in Aurora while their house was being built in Oswego. Said the mother was really nice, friendly but the father was aloof... According to the police, the father was very calm throughout the whole process. Wouldn't you be quite upset if your family was just killed this way ??? All this is TOO strange and way too suspicious... A

I know a family who lived near them, and whose daughter was at their house swimming with the kids in the pool just a couple days before. Just think if the mom had snapped 2 days earlier instead of the day she actually did!!

She didn't snap. He did it. Had to of. Explain to me how someone wanting to commit a murder-suicide would shoot her own children multiple times and only her husband once. And in the leg. Don't murder-suicides usually make sure that everyone would be dead before offing themselves? This is a tragic, tragic story and I don't know where this world is going to. How anyone could harm thier own children is beyond my coherence. But this Christopher guys story is not adding up. Why wouldn't you find help right away when your family was in danger? I'm sorry, but if something was threatening me and my son, I would die before letting something happen to him. Plus this guy owns his own private investigations. He knows how to try and get around the system. Did they check his hands for gun residue before letting him go?
