Is it so hard for the coach to put in the kids that don't get to play when there is a blowout? For Christ sake these kids bust their ass at practice too! Give all the kids a couple of snaps at least!

I agree, let them all have a chance. It is like that for all sports, the only thing the coaches think about is the starters of the team.

It's survival of the fittest at the Oswego schools. I'm sorry to say. I refuse to support any sports programs at Oswego schools because student-athletes are not treated fairly. Win at all costs, you know? The "little" guys/gals who try hardest are completely ignored. I have never ever experienced a school district with such uncaring staff members at the high school level - coaches, teachers, and primarily administrators. They have way too much of our tax money and are gonna ask for more soon. Get out while you can sell. Geneva, LaGrange, Naperville, anywhere (well, except West and East Aurora school districts) is better than Oswego schools

I have a question for you? you claim to know so much about Oswego, but you don't live here, did you live here at one time? I have some problems with the school system, but overall, I have to say the district is good, I have three kids all have done very well in the district, and I went through it too never went anywhere else. I think when it comes to the sports they should play more of the team, but after being to games, on any team, it is always the starters, from any school you always here the same names , I don't think it is just Oswego schools. So, Jenna IF you don't live here and never have, have never been to school here how can you judge?

Actually my parents have 4 children ALL of us went to OHS and guess what we are all doing very well Thank you, OHS is very sports minded, and I don't agree with not letting all the kids have a chance, but what can you do, I just thank god my kids are getting good grades, I feel that is going to get my kids further than sports, all three have and do participate in sports, but their main purpose is getting good grades and staying out of trouble.

I'm a starting linebacker at the freshemn level and i lived in naperville before I even moved to oswego, so trust me I know plenty about strict football coming from naperville. Ever heard of a B team? Yeah everyone gets to play, the offensive line actually roatates in and out every 5 plays ro so on both A and B team to let kids get in. So you people bitching should get your facts straight, and sure, some kids are 2nd and 3rd string B teams but most of them dont play cuz they dont pay attention or give a shit and dont know plays. Its not NYFL or OYTF anymore, its highschool sports, the next step up is college and thats filmed on TV! they wont play kids who don't want to try, and also, about not playnig small kids, not tru, just yesterday one of the smallest kids on our team leveled this big kid and let our running back score a TD, there are several cases of smaller kids getting huge hits. Unless you know what your talking about don't talk. kay thanks

Anthony you make a good point, but not all the kids who don't get a chance to play are not trying, most are just no as good, but make every practice, and know what is going on, but every coach has their favorite, it has been like for ages. I have a son who was on the tennis team for 2 years in a row okay he is not real good, but he tries, makes every practice, and hardly ever plays, how discouraging is that to a kid, never getting the chance to play makes the kids not want to try at practice, they feel it is not going to get them anywhere. My son still wants to go out for tennis this year even though he knows he will probably not play, but he just wants to b given a chance, they will never learn unless they get to play. I think it is like that for all sports. The coaches spend all the time with the starters, and the others are left to fend for themselves, tell the others what they are doing wrong and how they can improve, maybe then we will see some new faces starting on the teams.

Went and watched the Freshmen beat Romeoville at Romeoville. The artificial field they have is totally awesome! Can't wait to see tonights senior contest on the same field going for the Conference Championship. Everyone come out to support the team. Easy drive and a nice facility. Go Panthers!

As long as you stay home we'll be fine. I'm confident we at least share the Conference Championship. As Dikta always said, losers live in the past!

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Libra

Throughout the rest of the month you'll enjoy the security and comfort that you gain from being in familiar places surrounded by familiar faces. You won't be happy about straying too far from home, and you'll rush back there as soon as possible. This is a great time to consider ways in which you can improve the appearance of your home or garden.
