1 Your one smart cookie. He will never be able to visit his daughters at their home. If he is found in Canada they will just lock him up again. And I also like your idea about the opinion of the victims. If they agree that he should be released then let him go. |

2 I find it interesting that murders get far less time as do the perps that leave life-long physical injuries. |

2 As it is, he's rotting, his daughters are suffering, we're having to pay for it abd no one seems to be better off. It's stupid. |

1 There are certainly a lot of criminals that belong where they are in prison - and should be left there much longer than their sentence. But there are a lot of people in there who are not "criminals" |

1 Why don't you get your facts straight. It was his first offence. He hasn't been convicted of any crimes in Canada. He won't have a problem seeing his daughters. |

1 Val, I got my facts straight. Canada does not let felons into Canada. It does not matter where he as convicted. Now, if he is a Canadian citizen that might be a different story. I'm not sure on that matter but if I was convicted in the USA, Canada would not let me inter without a pardon, and that Sir is a fact. |

1 If you had studied the case further you would know he has dual citizenship. |

Some of these requests for clemency are for people who committed crimes, and served their sentences, many years ago, but find that their previous records are now preventing them from being police officers or owning a weapon. I'm speaking of those that have had clean records since completion of their sentences.

1 is something wrong with your justice system or are you all perps that haven't been caught yet?? oh and just to add, when the judge himself admits that he didn't know all of the facts, and agreed that his sentence was a manifest injustice, open your eyes America. It's obvious this man should have been released years ago |
