We have a Boss Boar who refuses to think outside the box or even in cooperation with the taxpayers who do not want more, but less taxes (just look at the sirens levy) We have the Boss Boar riding around in a luxury SUV with leather seats when a stripped F 150 with a stick shift would suit him just fine. And we have a Boss Boar who has absolutely no interest in saving any dollars for the taxpayer. Question how many of the Boss Boars County vehicles are stripped and have stick shifts?? Think of it , if they all used their hands and feet a little we would be saving not only the cost of the vehicle (at least 2 thousand $ for automatic) but a 10% saving at least in gas mileage. Has the Boss Boar instituted any personnel savings e.g. fewer hours, wage freezes ,reduced personnel?? Has the Boss Boar banned cell phone useage in the County Vehicles to save on potential accidents and increased insurance premiums.? The answer is no the Boss Boar thinks that all he is the Boss with no accountability to the taxpayer. Well Boss Boar, pull up your panties or underwear and get with the program.

So, I guess if I understand this correctly, the shiny pickups with the Delaware County Engineer's logo on the side are a figment of my imagination.

And, the fact that the county got along without a sales tax for the county engineer before 1998 means that all the roads back then were gravel and dirt, I guess.

And, the fact that new roads and new bridges have been paid for with the sales tax, which was voted for maintenance, is not a problem (unless you are a taxpayer).

And, the fact that Delaware County gets very little money from the state or feds for roads (a retraction of same started this thread) is not a problem. Oh, wait. I forgot. If you take that money they hold you accountable for it, and that would cause questions that the Boss Boar doesn't want to answer.

And, the fact that the Boss Boar is so busy taking care of our roads and bridges, and keeping costs low, that he has time to become the President of the National Assoc. of Cty. Engineers. Gee, you would think that would bring state and federal dollars to this county. Oh wait, see above.

The Boss Boar has long ago forgotten that he is a public servant. He has been captured by developers and private interests, to enrich the few, at the cost of the many.

Oh, and for the record, I don't live in Berlin township, and from what I have seen Deb Henthorn and Ken O'Brien are more right than they are wrong.

If all you can do in rebuttal is attack the person, and not provide proof and details then I suspect the arrow strikes close to home. It would appear that public scrutiny would cause the Boss Boar big problems. It is hard to build and maintain an empire in a transparent atmosphere.

You neglect in 128 to account for the growth of population since 1998 and the increased regulatory - unfunded mandates - required of our infrastructure burden. Some coming from the dickheads like Tiberi that the Republicans parked in congress since 1998.

And yes, roads were bad and not as good in 1998 as they are now and they require more maintenance with increased traffic loads by weight and volume.

The lack of federal dollar sin Delaware county is a direct result of Pat Tiberi's incompetence and failure to support of this county in favor of Franklin County.

Tiberi finds and pours federal tax dollars some collected in Delaware County (BTW not paid by Antonoplos) into Franklin where he is scared of losing votes because of their Democrat majority. Keep re-electing the Tiberi stooge and we'll never get help and we will have to fund our infrastructure improvements and maintenance ourselves.

Lastly the tiny fraction of the sales tax that goes to the engineers is insignificant and a substantial portion of it is paid by people not living, just shopping, in the county.

It is apparent that the Boss Boar is very upset that somebody or party is challenging his tax created empire. No wonder Sawmill and the Home Rd. overpass are not getting done on time with the Boss out traveling around on the taxpayers dime heading up an association of County Engineers that few in Delaware County give a Boars ass about. What has his " Presidency" done for Delaware County except give the Boss boar a big pompous personality. He was likely elected because he volunteered as other County Engineers are too busy with their jobs. However, the Boss Boar flush with cash has plenty of time and sales tax generated power to take on the additional responsibility. How many hours a year does the Boss Boar spend on the association and if he gave up his presidency and association time could he get by with one or two less people in his Department. Who does his job when he is out being the "Mr. President" Give us a break Boss Boar, rsign your "presidency" and spend the hours doing your Delaware job and get projects done on time.

Could you tell us again why you agreed to a 10 year sales tax approved as temporary by the voters and then you lobbied the previous Commissioners to make it permanent WITHOUT A VOTE of the taxpayers?? Could it be you knew it would not pass because you were caught LYING to the VOTERS saying that a road maintenance tax could be used to build SAWMILL PKWY and that there were enough funds without the sales tax to build the PKWY when you knew it wasn't true.Could it be that you were deliberately co mingling sales tax revenues designated for maintenance with your general funds so that an accountability of where the sales tax money went could not be done?? Could it be Boss Boar that you used the sales tax to toot your own horn at the National Association of County Engineers as to how great you are? Boss Boar if you had the privates of a Boar you would go before the Commissioners and lobby to put previous Commissioners decision on the road tax back on the ballot for voter approval.? ALL - As you read the above posts, you'll note I did not sink to the level of the original poster until the posts were well into the 100+ number. At that point, it was entirely obvious that his / her only known form of communication is based on sensationalism, lies and weirdness. Even then, the posts by me have been nowhere near as rude nor full of unfounded nonsense as the others. Not even close.

Civil Engineers and Surveyors are largely trained to be "public servants". It is nearly impossible to be a steward of infrastrucure from outside the realm of a governement position. Nearly all county engineers, including ours, have successfully avoided the political approach. In fact, most county engineers would much rather that their position was not an elected one. btw - by the definition of your argument, there could be no such person as a 'good' county engineer because they would all be employed in the private sector. Please explain how that works.

It would be genuinely interesting to see some facts and figures on this forum that illustrate even a base foundation for the inane accusations that have been made against Mr. Bauserman. The accusations to date have contained no substance (only lies, exaggerations, and mistruths).

At this point (140 posts into the topic) it is obvious that the poster is focused only on creating ill will toward the county engineer for some personal gain or bizare infatuation with defamation of his character.

are well documented in the media. He was caught with his pants down by the Citizens group opposed to the Sawmill Parkway. It is a shame that a Public official who's lies are well documented used his sales tax and building program in Delaware County to ascend to the presidents position of NACE.
