Does anyone know whats going on with Hillman EMS? Why do we have to wait for a paramedic from Alpena? We used to have one from Atlanta that would come out with Hillmans ambulance.

I believe the fire board meetings are on mondays late in the month, that would be the venue for discussion on this matter.

The board meetings are a joke. None of them have a clue about whats going on. I heard one of themsay that the only reason they go to meetings is to pay the bills. Now that's comforting.

I am all for ALS. I just want to know why the people of Hillman have to suffer to get there.

On top of that they are paying more for intercepts than they were for less ALS time. Thats financial responsibility there.

From talk I have heard around the county, Atlanta ALS was stopped because of their paramedics making every ambulance call ALS even when it wasn't. Which was costing the people of Hillman who needed an ambulance alot more money. BASICALLY ATLANTA WAS PADDING THEIR POCKETS!!!!

The tri township medics only took advanced calls in ALS, the others they sent in basic. the only reason that als was discontinued through atlanta is because the current coordinator couldn't get over an immature infatuation and decided to make the pts suffer without advanced care for the 1st half of the trip.

GetReal, you could not be more right. It's all about scaring people into voting for their proposed milage increase. Then she can look like a hero. Hillman had a deal on the table to be ALS at their current milage but it got rejected.

Maybe Hillman is letting Tri-Township go through their self proclaimed "growing pains" before thay utilize their services, thats my conjecture.

Obviosly you talk out your ass because anyone with a brain knows Steph has done nothing but improve Hillman's ambulance service, from the mess left behind by the last acting Coord. Ralph! Sounds like you are just jealous because Steph can get her crew to respond to amb. calls for basically no pay. Can you service say the same thing. Tri has to steal 911 calls from the Hillman nursing home to pay their bills. Lets talk about pt care Dan and Ralph and all you other Tri employees. Leave Steph alone, because jealous won't get you anywhere. But endangering a pt's life will and that is actually what you(Tri) are doing every time it takes you 15 mins. hauling ass to get to the nursing home when Hillman could be there in five minutes. So lets also critize Steph for wanting ALS for her community through a millage. She does EMS because she cares wHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE!!!!

Sorry but you are very misinformed. I believe the new coordinator is trying her best to get what the town of Hillman needs and that is their own service to be ALS. And I see Tri Township ambulances go through downtown Hillman with their lights and sirens on to take basic tranfers to the hospital. BASIC TRANSFER I said so why are Tri's ambulances run with lights when I repeat it is suppose to be a BASIC TRANSFER!!!! Who is jeopardizing their pt's? Hillman and Steph, I don't think so!!!By the way how many nursing home pt's have died enroute to the hospital while waiting for a Tri ambulance to get to the nursing home? Remember people are reading this so answer honestly. If Hillman would have been called the pt would have had ALS faster from Alpena then waiting on Tri's ambulance coming from Atlanta. But very smart move Tri for having a ambulance in downtown Hillman the week the nursing home has their state visit. Not doing anything ILLEGAL ARE YOU? Why have your ambulance in town for that week only? Odd isn't it!

Obviously Todd and Jenni don't know the first thing about EMS or transfers. As for the time differential between Hillmans and Tris ambulances, Medilodge contacted Tri to take the transfers because they wanted immediate ALS care and they were tired of not knowing when an ambulance was going to get there.
And Todd, exactly what are you insinuating is illegal? The transfers are completely legal so what are you refering to.
Why don't you guys educate yourselves instead of buying into the propaganda.
I also know the schedule you mentioned was tried by the two previous coordinators and a certain few crew members threw a fit and it went out the window. Hardly an original idea.

The All Knowing One obviously you sound like you maybe were an ex-Coordinator and you sucked at your job and maybe that is why the crew won't do what you asked of them. And we all know how you current manager went into the nursing home to steal Medilodge away. Medilodge didn't approach Tri it was the other way around. Be completely honest because you wer quite pissed off about it when Dan first did it.So who is talking shit now?

The All Knowing One does the state agree with you guys doing Medilodge transfers when it is a priority call? Why did you guys hang out in downtown Hillman that week instead of coming from Atlanta? Simply question so why don't you answer it instead of beating around the bush.

Ya The All Knowing One I would like to know the answer to that question myself. I haven't seen your ambulances sitting in Hillman since the nursing home's state inspection has been done. Why just that week have a ambulance sitting a few seconds away.

I'd like to know what the nursing homes state inspection has to do with Tri-Township ambulances. Sounds like a really interesting conspiracy theory. If you must know the crew was having lunch.
Furthermore I am not a former EMS coordinator at Hillman.
Oh by the way "Todd" if they are BASIC TRANSFERS then why would there be a need for ALS from Alpena. Hmmmm, scene time of 10 to 15 minutes scene time before requesting ALS or ALS on scene.

Sounds like the taxpayers should here that one driving in an ambulance all day so they can have some lunch. Sounds really like the truth. As far i am concerned why the hell are u trying to start shit with hillman if your on tri. REAL PROFESSIONAL!!! Oh and doesnt TRI have their own problems!!! THE FRONT PAGE OF THE TRIBUNE in JUNE 25th issue. I would like to know how Danny Albrecht went from under investigation and almost fired to a promotion. SOUNDS LIKE HE WAS SCREWING SOMEONE!! Oh and i have to point out how edwards lead the investigation on doug baum. but then dropped out of the vote. very sly edwards!! now that wouldn't be conflicting interests, now would it.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aquarius

The more you want to control someone, or someone wants to control you, the more difficult life will be today. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so the last thing you should do now is to act as though you own this person, or tell them what to do, because it will be an instant recipe for rebellion and trouble. Mars is retro in your house of significant others and open enemies after all. If you don't want to spoil the evening's celebrations you'll have to make compromises, and hope that this other person will do the same. Don't let the fuss stop you having a very happy New Year's Eve.
