I am so sorry for all the families involved. This was a horrible accident. As the mother of teenagers my heart goes out to all the families.

The prosecutor should be ASHAMED of himself! He is heartless and has a complete lack of judgement. I would think that at age 55 (old enough to be a great-grandfather) and having served in this position for 27 years he would have more perspective...obviously not. IT IS TIME FOR HIM TO GO.
Exactly why should the Prosecutor be ashamed for doing what he's doing? Would you fire him for DOING HIS JOB? There has to be a legal action on this in order to close the case whether you like that fact or not. And just because this boy is facing charges doesn't mean anything will come of it short of a trial. To be found innocent you have to face the evidence first. To let anyone, even if it's a kid who did something stupid like this, off without legally 'clearing the air' is the wrong thing to do and could actually harm him more in the long run instead of settling the matter. And if nothing else, the additional publicity may make other kids think twice before doing something like he did. And if you still don't want this kid to go to court, then what other dumb things can kids do and get away with without having to face the consequences in your opinion? |

Excuse me, How could you even begin to the blame the prosecutor..The 18 year old needs to be responsible for his actions. How many times over the weeks have you heard my 2nd grader knows not to point a gun..I am sure it was a accident, however a family had a child taken a away. They will me reminded every day,and every holiday that he is not there. Until we walk in their shoes, who should be judged..
So putting another kid in jail will make thier holidays easier?
No, but holding him responsible for killing another human being will preserve justice. He committed a crime. He should go to prison and spend time with OJ, M Vick, Pacman Jones and the rest of the criminals like him. He is a scumbag murderer
Who said putting him in jail would make holidays better..He has to be accountable for his actions,impulseiveness..Maybe some home detention,
w/work release..Who knows..But the prosecutor was right for filing the charges. What msg would it of sent if he didn't..It is very tragic for everyone involved...My heart breaks for the family Of William Kane... |

Comparing an accident to Dog Fights and Murder? Where do you people come from? Complete Nutjobs.
Pointing a gun and pulling the trigger is not an accident. It's a crime, a felony. He will join the above listed felons in the place where they put felons. PRISON. You are a loser. I bet if it was a little black boy that killed his white friend, you would want the death penalty.
Just toss out the race card when you know your arguement is weak. That always works.
Goes both ways skippy
Both ways? What are you even talking about, Chief?
Best Regards, Skippy |
I think we have a great system and justice will prevail..He will be taught a valuable lesson through life..By the way both kids were caucasion
and it doen't matter..Because the accident/neglience did happen... |
Accident.

This is what I am talking about. OJ's retarded son killed OJ's white ex wife and they tried their best to get OJ, MV killed some dogs, they wanted him burned at the stake. Barry Bonds lies about taking steroids, put him in prison for life. Roger Clemmens lies about taking steroids, Congress asks the FBI not to investigate because he's been through enough.
Now this boy points a loaded shotgun at his friend(felony), pulls the trigger(felony), and kills him(felony) and everyone wants to call it an accident or mistake. Call it what it is, a felony and put this boy in prison for committing it. And stop with the double standards. I am not talking to you specifically Jason. I am just trying to get EVERYONE to open their eyes. I point these inconsistencies out whenever and wherever I can and not just to white people. |

Using how the law has treated celebraties to justify your race card use isn't helping you. Every single one that you mention has, for all intents and purposes, been given a pass by the law, but, been convicted in the court of public opinion. No if you had brought up cases of the average joe getting the shaft, that would have helped. Everyone knows that if you have enough money and/or a big enough name, the law treats you differently. |

I can provide a whole list of people just from the City of Chicago. Some who sat on death row for years but where later found not guilty.
Again, I will point out anyone's bigotry or racial intolerance not to be evil but to get people to think. |
Who in this discussion was being racially intollerant?
Yes, but, you also have to look at the technology in solving crime today as compared to then.(in reference to the years on death row.) We didn't have DNA testing, computers analizing finger prints, ect. ect. Yes, some conviction were racially motivated, that is undisputable fact; however, to say that because people were proven innocent years later still doesn't give credibility for your use of the race card. |
