Yea, no one lives in Maple Grove! What a waste!

1 But it will cut down travel time to County Road 81 and then your only 3 miles away from the freeway via country road 30. So you could actually be in the traffic jam going north on the freeway earlier. |

1 1. If you think it goes no where that also describes all of the places you have driven to in the metro area. 2. Maybe you should start a road building company if 48m is way out of line. 3. Not to mention all those yuppies in Brooklyn Park and Osseo. 4. You are the traveling companion of the guy in #1 above. 5. And you are their navigator. This should have been done years ago and the link through to 94 should have been too. The north side has been freeway screwed since the 1960's. |

1 Outstate should start kicking in tax revenue then. Even with these high profile metro projects, metro residents are heavily subsidizing non-metro road projects. |

I was so waiting for your pearly words of wisdom to enlighten us "morons" to your sense of reality. Thank you, TEO (the enlightened one). |

1 Lemme guess...YOU benefit from this nice new stretch of road? And since you don't understand what I posted, I'm saying it is stupid to spend that much to build 3 miles. That may be the best price for that, and the actual cost to get it done. I'm saying it is STUPID to do it at all then. |
|||
Ok, Genious, how much should it cost? |
||||
|
Let's finish the road all the way to 94. And why is 610 only two lanes through Brooklyn Park? Oh yeah, they cheaped out again.

2 If King Timmy were not so in love with laying concrete where nature once flourished, we could be expanding mass transit options that would do some good for the citizens of MN rather than another futile project that will do nothing to decrease the harm being done to our Mother, the Earth. |

1 Confess, robot; which website did you get these talking points from? "Our Mother, the Earth"???? Capitalized letters???? Worshiping the creation, not the creator? Seriously, robot; which website do you visit that promotes that? |

How can you "expand mass transit options" without "laying concrete?" PS: At least for once you didn't use the word "Rethuglicans." |

Happy to know you are thinking of me. And we can go beyond "my sense of reality" to just "reality" on this one if you frequently travel through this area. 610 To 94 is a no brainer that should have been done years ago. |

There was a tax value report a few years back that showed (by area) how much return goes to each area's roads per $1 spent in taxes. The Twin Cites GMA gets about $0.5-$0.6 per dollar taxed while out side of that area gets far more (if I remember correctly it was about $2-$3 for most of the areas out side of the TCGMA). |

1 First, let's set the record straight: 1. While there are several places to drive to in the metro area, the MAJOR attractions are not in Maple Grove, and Rogers, Maple Grove, Brooklyn Center, Otsego, and Albertville all have large strip malls. 2. 48 million builds those 3 miles. But as any one knows, you have to REPAIR the road each winter; thus, the 48 million WILL EVENTUALLY BE MORE--and yes, you will have to resurface the road every 3-7 years depending on traffic wear and tear. But, you never thought about that, right? 3. While people have a good living in Brooklyn Park and Osseo, it is no secret that Maple Grovers have been plugging away at lavishly expensive public works projects, like Arbor Lakes and the $400,000+ homes built all over the community. Yes, you are a yuppie! 4. It's difficult to spot a traveling companion to the guy above because the majority of Minnesotans don't like public transit. We love cars because it shows everyone how much money we are making and we don't have to share the same air with the undesirables. Maple Grove has a massive mass transit hub righ there in Arbor Lakes. What are we doing? We're building them another road. Need I say more. 5. Actually, the navigators were people like you who didn't care to live in Minneapolis proper. You got a home in Maple Grove without reading the fine print: no roads, no malls, no where to go. So, you all got together, built Arbor Lakes, and are finally getting that road you wanted, when all you really had to do was STAY PUT IN MINNEAPOLIS, where the roads and malls had already been built and there were still plenty of places to go: bars and jobs downtown, Target Center, Target Field, and the new Vikings Stadium in 2014. Sure, you're frustrated by years of waiting, but honestly, you did this to your self, and none of us really owes you anything. |
