About time more lazy people got off their couches and took those $7.50 an hour jobs. I am sick of seeing fast food and drug/grocery stores with hiring signs. Stop living off me and get a job!

Not at all. You at least went out and got a job. Are you still getting some level of government help since you are working but took a pay cut? I appreciate people like you who at least try to work and take some stress off the system.

Ok, what about the ones that are still looking? I have been looking since my job left too. I keep getting told I am over-qualified or I don't hear back from them at all.

Good Day,

What would you have them do? Offer benefits in perpetuity? What good is thatgoing to do for the economy?

I don't know what the answer is to be honest. I just know in my situation it is scary as hell and I'm not sure where my next house payment is coming from. In the mean time, I am still trying to get a job and working to make ends meet.

Apply to any temp service that is available. Gentex is having a job fair, there was an add in the GR Press today. Roskam foods, but they go through temp first. Farmers Insurance just had a job fair a couple of weeks ago. You can also apply on line to them. Gun Lake Casino said they were still looking for some help but had to have knowledge of certain jobs. Request foods is adding on a huge addition and will be hiring if they haven't started already. They may go through temps too, not sure.

Hang in there, Philip. When my company closed it's doors in the mid 80s, I searched and searched. One place turned me down because I was over qualified yet another turned me down because (for practically the same job), I was not qualified even with 12 years experience. I did see some clues that age was a big factor.

In the end, I delivered newspapers on a motor route for eleven months before I was finally hired by the city of Grand Rapids (which I am now retired from). Just don't give up. At one point I had over 300 resumes out.

Repugnantcans should stop using the desperation of the working class to fill the greedy pockets of the super rich.Of course help the unemployed and NO DEAL on Tax Breaks for the wealthy. The increase in taxes will be needed to create jobs and help the budget. The Middle Class will put the money back into the economy, the super rich will HOARD any tax breaks they get for more houses, more lavish trips and to help foreign countries get our jobs.

And the government can spend our hard earned money better than "we the people" can. I DON"T think so.

And also, if it weren't for them "rich bitches", you probably would not have a job!!!!! Ever think of that???

I think the government is the problem, from jobs to taxes.
It don't matter if they tax the rich as if it will fix anything.Instead they should be opening up all to put up factories, get those 8 to 10 million working again. They could collect a lot more cash if they did their job.

They look at that money as if it is their own little stash, so they can spend more is all that will happen.

BS. Republicans don't want to let the lazy in this country further bankrupt it. Meanwhile the jealousy and anger towards businesses and individuals who have had success needs to stop. They earned the money. They should not be forced to pay more for those that do not want to work.
So why is it ok for all of us to pay for wealthiest most costly of the tax cuts. people are not all lazy some have worked for 25-30 years and gotten permanwnt lay offs.

It is not jealousy, but anger it is. They have shipped the jobs overseas, sold out to the companies overseas. Do you even realize the discrepency of the pay of the top wage earners now vs the middle class that put their hard earned labor into their pocketbooks, and now the people that owned the huge corps, have not only knocked out the small mom and pop companies, they have also taken the jobs and shipped them overseas to make more money.

If you don't believe that wait and see.

What houses? There aren't that many being built. The developers have now declared bankrupcty. The contractors are slowly but surely closing their doors. Where do you see developement going on? You don't. The contractors that are surviving are now doing public work, what there is of it. How many empty plats do you see? Quite a few!! How many empty plazas do you see? Quite a few. This has been happening for longer than 2 years. If you say it hasn't then you have just been blind to what is going on around you.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Libra

It's one of those difficult days when anything can and will happen. Someone you were relying on might let you down, plans could be changed at the eleventh hour or a machine could go on the blink. To make matters worse, your energy levels are very erratic, so you feel full of beans one minute and ready to go to sleep the next. Don't make the situation worse by eating foods that give you a high followed by a slump.
