The Bible scriptures are wonderful, but that is all that is being posted anymore. Not putting the poster down, but, would love to read some personal experiences and thoughts from a lot of folks. The vessel giving God glory for what He has done in their lives and their situations is very effective when reaching out to others. Nothing wrong with the scriptures, just need a balance. Just saying!! Not trying to offend anyone.

Well, I think everybody regular here knows I'm an X-addict....without Jesus taking it from me, I'd still be an addict....did all kinds of drugs for 27 years, been clean 7 years now....and I give him all the Praise and Glory for it !!!! God has worked many miracles in my life, he's working one right now, "MY HEART IS BEATING" !!!! Love you all....

Loved the warm weather while it lasted. This makes winter more tolerable. Jonesboro was busy today. People shopping for their Valentine flowers an gifts. Guess I'll buy mine.lol God bless everyone. Keep the faith. Miss all the reg.

A young man working in the army was constantly humiliated because he believed in God. One day the captain wanted to humiliate him before the troops. My Life With God s private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift box. Curious, and somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angry, he rose his voice to his father and said "with all your money, you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house. Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still gift-wrapped Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt.7:11, "And if ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in Heaven, give good things to those who ask Him?" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words PAID IN FULL. Life lesson: How many times do we miss God's blessings because we can't see past our own desires?

man is driving down the road and breaks down near a monastery. He goes to the monastery, knocks on the door, and says, "my car broke down. Do you think I could stay the night?" The monks graciously accept him, feed him dinner, and even fix his car. As the man tries to fall asleep, he hears a strange sound. The next morning, he asks the monks what the sound was, but they say, "We can't tell you. You're not a monk". The man is disappointed but thanks them anyway and goes about his merry way. Some years later, the same man breaks down in front of the same monastery. The monks again accept him, feed him, and even fix his car.. That night, he hears the same strange noise that he had heard years earlier. The next morning, he asks what it is, but the monks reply, "We can't tell you. You're not a monk." The man says, "All right, all right. I'm dying to know. If the only way I can find out what that sound was, is to become a monk, how do I become a monk?" The monks reply, "you must travel the earth and tell us how many blades of grass there are and the exact number of sand pebbles. When you find these numbers, you will become a monk". The man sets about his task. Some forty-five years later, he returns and knocks on the door of the monastery. He says, "I have travelledd the earth and have found what you have asked for. There are 145,236,284, 232 blades of grass and 231,281,219, 999,129,382 sand pebbles on the earth". The monks reply, "Congratulations. You are now a monk. We shall now show you the way to the sound". The monks lead the man to a wooden door, where the head monk says, "the sound is right behind that door". The man reaches for the knob, but the door is locked. He says, "Real funny. May I have the key?" The monks give him the key, and he opens the door. Behind the wooden door is another door made of stone. The man demands the key to the stone door. The monks give him the key, and he opens it, only to find a door made of ruby. He demands another key from the monks, who provide it. Behind that door is another door, this one made of sapphire. So it went until the man had gone through doors of emerald, silver, gold, and so on... Finally, the monks say, "this is the key to the last door". The man is relieved no end. He unlocks the door, turns the knob, and behind that door he is amazed to find the source of that strange sound..... But I can't tell you what it is because you're not a monk.

preacher went into the pulpit one Sunday morning wearing a pair of new bifocals.
The reading portion of the glasses improved his vision considerably, but the top portion of the glasses didn't work so well. In fact he was experiencing dizziness every time he looked through them.
He explained to the congregation that the new glasses were causing problems.
"I hope you will excuse my continually removing my glasses," he said. "You see when I look down I can see fine, but when I look at you, it makes me sick."
