Standoff ends in suspect's death

More than 20 cans of tear gas, a concussion grenade and an armored vehicle that rammed through the front of his house weren't enough to get Allen Michael Buzdigian to surrender to deputies Monday after a gun ...

Wee woo wee woo wee woo wee woo!

UFO's.... Right...

And sorry, everyone can get a gun permit as long as they dont have a criminal record :(

And ormond was never safe, what the heck are you smoking?

Ormond borders daytona, home of a salvation army, thousands of bums, drug streets- etc.

Kinda like Miami, good and bad areas, way too close together.

According to the Daytona News Journal the, "psycho" had a pending Rape charge, as well as the assault on a Police Officer. Aren't those charges enough to keep, "Guns" away from this psychopath?

Well, Bill why dont you do some research before commenting. There was never a rape report. As far as a gun permit well try comming to knock on my door!
He was wrongly accused and arrested for spitting on an officer. He was handicapped with 2 broken hips and could not walk/move fast enough, then beatten by officers so he spit on them. He refused to go back to jail for something this stupid. I am glad he went out with a bang and gave them a run.
His nephew.

I like how everyone uses the word Phyco. Did you know him. People say he had no frieds he had a family who loved him VERY much. he wanted to be left alone, The police we scared to enter his house, a house of a man they know can barley walk and breath, no they through 20 cans of trear gas and everything elase they could find. I am not saying shooting at police is right. but tell me who is the Phyco and why they had ot issue the warrent the same day. alittle strange. I am glad my family is also on THIS forum so everyone knows unlike is said his family and friends still loved him and he still had them..
May he find peace

I just wanted to say that my son lives on Alamanda and always saw Allen sitting in front of his house never bothering anyone and always alone. I have seen him myself when going over to visit my son. We are saddened that he was killed like this. The torn up boarded up home is a reminder of the pain he must have suffered deep inside. He is missed. I am curious to know if he was a Vietnam Vet. We are so quick to judge people but only the Lord is the judge and knows and understands the heart. God rest his soul.

I don't know if Allen Buzdigian's family remembers me but I lived with Al for almost 3 years as his girlfriend. I am so amazed that people can be so ignorant about the loss of a human life. Allen was a wonderful, and I stress WONDERFUL person. He was very quite and reserved and wanted nothing more than to be left alone to be with those whom he loved. I am outraged at the way the police treated him in the past and on Sept. 25, because he was not only handicapped, and fatally asthmatic, but he was also NOT a violent person. I have always had a lot of faith in our system of law until this sickening occurance. If anything, a judge was severely late in offering Allen counseling if they thought he was an unruly citizen. He was a beautiful person that loved nature, and loved life. He lived with unbearable pain every day of his life for so many years, and still appreciated all the small gifts that life offers. I could go on forever about him...he would never hurt anyone, or anything, and all these idiots that speak of him as if they know him know absolutely nothing of the kind of man he was. I am ashamed to be a human being sometimes when I see how cold and ignorant we can be. I loved and will always love Allen as a person. He and his family are beautiful people and he doesn't deserve to have died that way. The media can be so cruel and all for a good story. I just want his family to know that I tell everyone that asks what a truly good man he was and that all that trash the media portrays of him is exactly that; TRASH

Things that are TRUE about Allen Buzdigian: he was a VERY nice person. Whevever he would see me, he always would give me a very WARM hug. If I stopped by his house to see my friend, who used to live with him some years ago, he ALWAYS invited me to sit on the front porch with him or relax inside on the sofa. He wanted to do little things to make me comfortable - even though he was crippled and found it hard to walk, he would still make the effort to ask me what he could get me. He was so kind and pleasant and very enjoyable to talk to, and always made me feel SAFE and WELCOME in his home. One time I got a little cranky with him, because I was trying to talk to my friend and he came over to talk to her(and my temper is a hot one!) and I was rather snappy with him. He never said ONE mean word in reply, even though he could have easily been cranky right back. He was always happy to hear from me when I called, and made me feel good about who I am as a person.
Everyone is saying all of the bad things about him, but I wanted to say the good things that I knew about him. I do not believe he was trying to shoot at ANY police officers to harm them. He needed help, and the system failed to reach out to him. I believe he was frightened and scared and did not know what else to do to scare them away. Instead of realizing that they had a sick, crippled man on their hands who also needed the care any human being would need who is suffering mentally, they did away with him.
It is especially sad to see how the media and the police painted such a bad picture of him just to hype up their story and make it look like they had a real mad man on their hands. He looked nothing like the picture they used in the paper! It is so sad that the media refuses to argue the fact that here was a man who the system could have helped but instead they found it easier to frighten him, harass him and ultimately kill him.
My sypathy goes out to his family. I drive by that house all of the time and it is really tragic.

Brad, there is no such thing of being resistant to tear gas. It burns your throat, skin, eyes, nose and makes you "tear" and cough uncontrolably.

Your absolutely correct about the time it takes to serve a warrent. They certainly don't hunt you down as soon as court lets out the same day. If they thought you were dangerous, they would not have released you on your own recognizance to begin with.

That is correct Brad. Every American citizen has the right to bear arms. And no place is safe when you have vindictive law enforcment who don't take kindly to citizens who challenge the fact that they are human and capable of overreacting to various scenarios.
