LOl I hate change too. As usual your post makes a lot of sense, but I think of the lane as a little different. We're a smaller group of people and over the months most of us and gotten to know each other pretty well. I almost feel like it's our own "secret Girls " club where we can share just about anything and everything. I'm well aware of the Internet and it's hazards but I honestly believe all of us are pretty much who we say we are. For certain Snarky, GG and I have all seen each other's families pic's and we for sure aren't 40 year old male perverts. unreal wrote: I will be the first to say I don't like change, but that never stopped life from doing it anyway... Remember a week or so back when the discussion of people leaving their "real" lives behind to run off with someone who they met online only to have that perceived online fantasy blow up in their face? I think we all agreed that those people were pretty stupid.... Well let's take the friendships we have all formed while posting on the Lane. In all reality none of us "know" each other but have formed characters in our heads to conform to what we read on these threads. Not to say any of you are not who you seem to be but how can we warn our children of the dangers of the Internet and not follow our own advice? Maybe Ruby felt she was being sucked into more feelings for the people here than she felt comfortable with and decided it was time to disengage herself. Anyway, that's how I want to look at it. I would rather wish a good "cyber friend" good luck and best wishes than nurse what hurt I might be feeling by her leaving and destroy the picture I have in my head of her.

I can't wait to see the Rhuematologist to see if there is some kind of medication that he will be able to give me that won't be hard on my liver.... I hope your meds start working for you soon. Can you tell me what the splints do for you?? Is it to keep the wrist and fingers immobile? Look at me wanting you to answer questions when I'm sure you have a hard time doing things with the splints...just feel better soon Murph.

I already have a follow-up on May 15----if I'm not over this, they'll do an MRI (and I'll beg for a cortisone shot too). Think I'll take my own advice (for once) and envision the warm sun healing that area. Have a great day EVERYONE! Beatnick....sending warm rays of sunshine your way....hope you start to feel better soon. Rest and take care *s*

This is a response for CQ, but for anyone who's interested.......Queen, I searched my pea brain to try and write out a recipe for meatballs and I can't. Here are the ingredients...they're real simple. Good hamburger, onion and green pepper chopped fine, salt and pepper, a jag of worcestershire, a jag of ketchup...some garlic powder. An egg helps hold the meatballs together, but I didn't use one yesterday and they came out OK. Brown the meatballs in olive oil on all sides (well, do the best you can). Transfer them to a heavy deep pan....cover them with tomato sauce to which I add Italian seasoning. Cook slowly until the sauce is cooked down. Let me know how you come out. Please don't bip me for not being able to figure out measurements.

Living in Washington, I like to imagine sunshine. I'm trying to rest, but don't think it will happen until I address our change: I think rubygoober could see the writing on the wall, in that too many trolls were beginning to drop by. We SHOULD be able to address politics, religion, and history, but unfortunately some trolls don't agree. Rubygoober may have seen something personal in the attacks and felt a new forum would help take us in an alternate direction and send the trolls' attention elsewhere. JMO With love to all Beatnick
