I know I fell way behind in the posts last week and I did read them all to catch up....however, I don't remember reading anything about why Ruby didn't want to be associated with the other Lane anymore. Did I miss something??? Did we do something to upset her? I sure hope she comes over here and joins us.......if not, she sure is gonna be missed. I guess you can join the rest of us sitting in the dark on that one! No clue here!

I think it might have had something to do with posters on other threads referring to the Lane as "Ruby's". If you remember she didn't like the idea of being designated "Chief" but always thought of herself as one of the Indians.

Good Morning All!(forgot to say that earlier!) Having a great day, bidding some jobs right now and I'm busier than I've been in months! How refreshing to come to work and actually have work to do for a change! Hope you all have a wonderful day ahead of you! I'll peek in now and then to share some giggles with you. Did anyone hear about the 21 yr old boy near Tampa that thru a young baby (5 mos old?) out onto Interstate 275 last night from his vehicle after getting into a fight with the baby's mom?(I guess she was his ex-gf.) How tragic and how bizarre. What kind of person can do something like that? Why are so many people going nutz?

Don't understand why the move happened in the first place. Literally sitting here shaking my head back and forth. Will go back to pondering for awhile but I doubt I'll find any answers. What the heck happened?

I will be the first to say I don't like change, but that never stopped life from doing it anyway... Remember a week or so back when the discussion of people leaving their "real" lives behind to run off with someone who they met online only to have that perceived online fantasy blow up in their face? I think we all agreed that those people were pretty stupid.... Well let's take the friendships we have all formed while posting on the Lane. In all reality none of us "know" each other but have formed characters in our heads to conform to what we read on these threads. Not to say any of you are not who you seem to be but how can we warn our children of the dangers of the Internet and not follow our own advice? Maybe Ruby felt she was being sucked into more feelings for the people here than she felt comfortable with and decided it was time to disengage herself. Anyway, that's how I want to look at it. I would rather wish a good "cyber friend" good luck and best wishes than nurse what hurt I might be feeling by her leaving and destroy the picture I have in my head of her.

I was already so upset after reading and catching up on posts on the other site and then when I read that Murph Jr had run away, I burst into tears. I never thought coming to the Lane today would be such an emotional experience. :`(
