Helloooooo!!! My point is you are comparing the Jets and Dolphins. You're talking about game time experience with WRs and QBs. My point is that last season Miami had a new QB and WRs along with a new O-line, and a rookie HC. Yet they went 11-5. What differences do you see from the Dolphins of last season and the Jets of this year? Yet you downplay the Jets for this coming season. You keep talking about last year, yet you have no expectations that any other team can succeed with the same tools the Dolphins had last year. Pat White? My Alma Mater played him twice a year in the Big East and they always handled him. Their Defense wasn't even that good. The Jets have Brad Smith who is a QB and Speedy WR as well. Add Brad Smith and Leon Washington into a Wildcat offense and the Dolphins Defense will have their own problems. ocala rob wrote: <quoted text>turner is a rookie! has no nfl exp! pennington has a season under his belt with our starting receiver's and rb's!! you can't buy it!! it's called gametime exp with skilled player's!!! intangibles; we had a +17 turnover ratio last year best in the nfl!! i attribute that to team discipline!! the good coaching of sparano! he was a rookie hc!! he has learned from it!! he will be better this year!!! how are we less talented when we beat you and took the division crown!! with white running the cat how you gonna stop that if you want to get down to some hard question's????????

The Jets don't have a 'rookie offense" they have Clemens who has played with in the Jets offense, and they have an experienced O-line, running game, and Wr's who have all been in the Jets system. They have the same OC. Penne had a career year last season. Can he outdo that? I think not. ocala rob wrote: i am in real time greg, i'm comparing your rookie offense, to our offense, who has a year under it's belt! not last year's offense! penne did a great job last year! considered for mvp! last year was all about innovative coaching and the intro of the w/c and intangibles +17 turnover ratio, it was a team effort!! penne had help!

The Jets were in that position with a HEALTHY Brett Favre. Once he was hurt, his passes did not have the same velocity and the INTs increased, costing the Jets several games. It didn't tear me up, but it certainly was frustrating. Tell me Rob, what would have become of the Dolphins last season if Pennington was hurt? ocala rob wrote: greg remember when you spanked ten at home 8-3 on top of the nfl world!! you looked like the best team in the league!!! lost 4 out of the last 5!! how did that happen!!!! that must have tore you up!!! what a let down with such high expectations!!! they sure fooled me.

Smith's quarterback experience was never utilized, and the potential for confusing a defense with a reverse or a pitch to Brett Favre for a deep pass was never explored. the Jets finally ran a reverse from the formation on a rainy and cold November afternoon.Smith botched his overhand flip to Jerricho Cotchery, the ball fell to the ground, and slipped directly into the hands of Vernon Fox for a Denver Broncos' touchdown. Oh, the excitement.

I'm hoping you know more about football than you are showing here. You know darned well that the Dolphins had the WC package in place for their training camp. You can bet the Jets have put that in place this season as well. I can certainly show you several plays were the WC failed miserably for the Dolphins last year as well. How did the WC do against the Ravens? How did it do the second time around against the Pats? ocala rob wrote: <quoted text>i see a big difference in the jet's this year and the fins of last year that difference is bill parcells!!! the Wildcat looked more like Garfield when the Jets ran it!!It was never as effective as the Dolphins' variation, nor was it half as creative. Yeah right. First pass down the field leads to Jets TD. Pass into end zone while in the grasp of Miami D. TOUCHDOWN!!! Funny how every pass thrown against the Dlphins is "lucky" Well the Dolphins won about 5 games last season because they were lucky. I don't see you talking about that. The reason Mangini didn't go to Clemens is the reason that Mangini is coaching in Cleveland now. ocala rob wrote: <quoted text>he never had much velocity!! the 1st miami game he threw 2 pop fly's that shouldve been picked off, one for a lucky td!! if he was that hurt why didnt mangini go to clemmons!! i heard that excuse before! it's weak! team effort in winning and losing not all 1 mans fault!!

So why do you discount Favre's injury? You already said they were 8-3 until he got hurt. How did Pennington do on the Jets when he was hurt and playing? ocala rob wrote: as far as penne being hurt last season! i cant comment on that simply because he was'nt hurt!!! the trio will keep him out of trouble and safe pennington's best day's are in front of him!!

You said he never had much velocity!! I say he did have velocity until they were 8-3. You referred to more than just one pass, so how am I misquoting you? You said "the 1st miami game he threw 2 pop fly's that shouldve been picked off, one for a lucky td!!" Tat looks like you're talking about more than one pass doesn't it Rob? You Dolfans keep talking about no effect on the game because of an injured QB. Let me ask you this. See if you can answer honestly. Would the Pats have won the division with a healthy Brady? Isn't that one man? No I don't think it was lucky. The Dolphins failed to sack Favre, and then the Dolphin secondary failed to knock the pass down. You call Dolphin failures luck for the other team. I can point out many plays that the Dolphins were involved in last season which ended in Dolphin wins. I don't see you r any other Dolphin fan calling those lucky. The point is if the Dolphins were "so much better" they wouldn't have been in position to lose by one pass play. The fact remains they lost. The Miami Hurricanes can cry all day about the famous Flutie pass into the end zone. Fact is they lost. ocala rob wrote: <quoted text>do you make crazy comment's and misquote me to make yourself feel better about your team??? i didnt say every pass that the jet's make against the fin's was lucky!! just the helium ballon he threw in the endzone for a touchdown!! it looked like a punt!! you do not think the jet's were lucky to make that play?

Time to look at reality Rob. The Jets are 8-3, coming off wins at Undefeated Tennessee and New England. Now your saying the Jets lost to SF, Seattle, Oakland because those teams were better??!??! And you tell me I should look at the truth? LMAO!!!! Come on my friend, you've lost it. ocala rob wrote: <quoted text>if i'm the coach and my qb is hurting and is out their throwing the ball away!! i pull him!!! evidently neither mangini nor farve thought this was the case as he finished the last 5 games 1-4!! that is a jet fan comfortable excuse as to why they lost!! have you ever considered reality!! maybe the teams that the jet's were playing were just better than they were!! you outta try that sometime! it's a relief it's called the truth!!!

Like I said, that's why Mangini is now coaching in Cleveland. So what's the "reality" Rob? Favre wasn't hurt? because evidentially he STILL IS and just had surgery. YOU know better? I doubt it. I would imagine that neither you or I could tie our shoes with that injury much less throw a football Nice try on the reality comment. But I'm afraid that you just won't accept the truth. ocala rob wrote: <quoted text>if i'm the coach and my qb is hurting and is out their throwing the ball away!! i pull him!!! evidently neither mangini nor farve thought this was the case as he finished the last 5 games 1-4!! that is a jet fan comfortable excuse as to why they lost!! have you ever considered reality!! maybe the teams that the jet's were playing were just better than they were!! you outta try that sometime! it's a relief it's called the truth!!!

let's try the truth!! i dont think the jet's are gonna come out and shock the nfl world!! due to last year's debacle and all their changes at key positions and coaching!!! you can counter all you want, that still doesnt change the fact's!! on the other hand ***"MIAMI"***!!!!! with last year's result's! a very solid core!! our key addition's!! pat white and the wildcat!! our COACHING!! leadership all the way around from the gm to the qb!!! no matter who your favorite team is how can you not expect great thing's from them!!! riddle me that batman!!!!!!!!!!
