Are you cutting down on travel because of rising fuel prices?

Are you kidding? Cutting down on travel due to the cost of fuel? How about cutting back on getting to work? How about cutting back on eating? How about not bathing as often so as to save! Cutting back travel! What a joke. Your laughing like heck as you wrote this. You'd have to!

Yes. And I know lots of people who are much more careful about planning their errands and clustering them together to avoid trips. No more dashing off to buy a gallon of milk and nothing more. I know people who are either not going anywhere on vacation or are vacationing close to home rather than taking long trips. And RV's? Forget about it! Just don't see them on the road and I live between Amish country and Gettysburg. Highways used to be crowded with them and I go weeks without seeing even one!

Strange how in the past week or so, the price of a barrel of oil has dropped by almost twenty dollars a barrel. Hummmmmmmmm Gas prices haven't come down. Right back to the same scams that have been going on since the seventies....prices would rise due to deliberately created shortages. The shortage ends..but prices, if the do go down only go half way back to where they were.

The gullible American public is already via the talking heads being psychologically prepared for the next contrived increase to bring gas to five dollars a gallon...

Roll over play dead and watch our do-nothing politicians (the very ones who cause the problem) do their lip service and debate action until it is TWENTY to THIRTY years too late.

Congress and the President should set price controls on ALL fossil fuels and keep them on until ALL oil companies have posted losses for five straight years. American oil companies could get tax deductions for these five years and then the government could bail them out (like they do the airlines now). It is time for the oil execs to FEEL THE PAIN!
