Wouldn't it have been a nice gesture on the part of the CEO to decline his $30M+ so that jobs could be saved? Maybe he does "deserve" it...maybe he's even earned it...but I doubt he needs it, so there is an element of greed in his accepting it. Nobody really deserves that kind of money, not celebrities, sports figures, bankers, politicians. It's obscene.
Who are you to say whether or not he "needs" that money? There is always going to be somebody out there who "needs" it more than you do. Are you going to give up your own salary to that person or persons?

You can tell the ones who are criticizing the successful white collar workers are not all that successful themselves and want to find someone to blame. Go back to school, get a better education, work harder at your job. But for God's sakes, stop blaming others for your own shortcomings.

Disney is a business, not a right. All of you who feel you are entitled to lower ticket prices sound pathetic.

It wouldn't matter how much Disney dropped their ticket prices. It still costs money to travel here, and most normal American's are making budget cuts of their own, the first cut being unnecessary travel.

Look at Universal Studios. They're planning on following Disney's lead, and they're MUCH cheaper than Disney. You can buy a one day two park ticket for Universal for the cost of a one park ticket to Disney. Their restaurants and quick service locations are cheaper as is their merchandise. It doesn't matter how much they're all charging, nobody's buying!

I don't even go out to eat much anymore let alone travel or go to Disney or Universal. I get into all of the parks for free (Disney, Universal, Sea World and Busch Gardens) and I still don't go. It's not because of ticket prices, obviously because I get in free, it's because I don't want to spend the money on gas to drive and then have to spend money on food for the day and be tempted to purchase merchandise.

Everyone I know is opting to stay home and save money. There isn't much Disney or any other service industry can do to avoid this economic downturn. It's up to our new commander in chief to pass legislation to help this country. And he's making a great start!

I'm a Disney lover, a customer, and an annual-pass holder.
Why should I care how they treat or pay their employees? Why should I care about Disney's "business practices"?
I buy equipment at Best Buy. Why should I care how Best Buy treats its employees? That's the employees' business - not mine. Why should that affect my purchasing decision?
You're an idiot! You should care about the employees of the places you visit, because they are directly responsible for the experience you have. If you visit Disney, the Cast Members can make your entire stay miserable if they want, and then it will EFFECT your decision not to come back.

You should really think before you speak to avoid sounding like an ignorant moron!

Yeah, like, maybe they could make it cheaper for locals to go than out-of-staters. Then maybe more local be could go. That'd be cool. I wish Disney would do something like that.
They do... They offer a 3 day Fla resident pass for about 125 dollars. Thats less than 45 dollars a visit. I think a 30 dollar discount for residents is pretty good.
There is also a annual pass for residents that is pretty cheap.

Disney owns Florida and many scum bags in Washington and can do anything they want. I myself hope God forbid if there is ever another 9/11 that this Jewish Theme Park is on the list. Disney will protect criminals they employ. Their Jewish Layers make sure of that. Disney has ruined Florida. The Disney Cruise Line is nothing more then slave ships. Disney treats their people like crap on these ships. And the food is garbage. Disney Sucks !

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
