I was sure that Obama would not select a male because another one would make it 8 out of 9, nor a Jew because it would make it 3 out of 9.
I was also sure that the selection would not be Catholic because it would have 6 Catholics on the court. What ever happened to talk of diversity on the court?

I'm not sure she is.

Her comment that she would hope that a wise Latina would make better decisions than a white male who lived a different life is most troubling.

If she had said "different decisions" or "bring a different perspective" that would have been fine. But, that's not what she said. I think she's going to have to say that what she meant isn't what she said.

This is nothing more than another heling down to the minorities. They didn't have any blacks, so they got a black. They didm't have any Jews, so they got a Jew. Now its the Hispanics. Never ending!

LOL!

Only if you ignore her 15 years as a federal judge, her 5 years as a prosecutor, her 8 years in private practice, her experience on the state of NY mortgage agency, her experience on the NYC campaign finance board, that she graduated second in her class at Princeton and was valedictorian of her high school class.

In other words, she accomplished more by age 25 than you'll accomplish in your entire life...

funny thing if these rightys actually read a good number of her cases they would find all there racists crap is just that not on iota of truth . One thing is certain they have burned any chance of getting the hispanic vote any time soon and rightly so who would vote for a p[arty that show nothing but contempt and hatred without even loking at the record. She will be seated and a filibuster will fail .

1. It is not "completely" out of context.

2. Completely in context (by your standard) it is still troubling. However, given that no other such quotes have arisen, hopefully it was just some poorly chosen words.

poor wordage her cases show her to be a good judge thats the bottom line . Truth is she is no more activist than Roberts is the republicans just dont like it when the activism is not to the right. I think she will be seated without to much trouble what i am really waiting on is the Franken decision it should be coming any day now.

Sonia Sotomayor is definitely qualified to be on the Supreme Court. The only white men who can legitimately cry reverse racism are those who also graduated summa cum laude from Princeton, were editors of the Yale Law Journal, graduated with a J.D. from Yale, have served on the U.S. Court of Appeals, yet were passed over for this position. Anyone who meets those requirements and was passed over, please step forward and denounce Judge Sotomayor as being unqualified. Otherwise please go back to watching Fox News.

I have reservations regarding regarding Judge Sotomayor to the Supreme Court based on some of prior statements that she has mad that could be construed as bigoted, and radical. A real good analysis of her can be found at marklevinshow.con on June 3, 2009.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Capricorn

Don't let anyone stand in the way of your progress and don't reveal personal secrets. You could very easily become run down at the moment. An empty promise could leave you feeling sad. If you're working today, there could be some problems: stick to your own work and make sure that someone doesn't try to take credit for your efforts.
