Thanks for replying to my question, KG. I know your list of suspects has been discussed over the years. I guess anything is possible. As for me, I will never believe that Ronald is anything but intricately involved in Haleigh's demise. If he didn't do it, he's ultimately respnsible for it. If the cause of Haleigh's death weren't his red wagon to pull, Ron would have been out there with his gun's blazing tracking down the ones who destroyed his possession. You don't take from Ronald Cummings anything that is his and not receive at least a kick in the head.Denada, there were a number of unusual events that took place prior to, or shortly following Haleigh's disappearance that make a few people, or groups of people look suspect to me.
I think that Haleigh may have been taken by:
Mexican drug dealers
Area meth cooks
or her Grandfather Johnny Sheffield
As for Misty, I believe she knows what happened to Haleigh. In any forum, thread, or blog that you look at concerning this case, you'll see posters stating that she just needs to tell the truth.
IMO,if there are persons in LE protecting the perpetrator, they aren't going to allow the truth to be told.
Also, he's got a criminal family who would also seek vengeance for Haleigh's kidnapping or death. As far as anyone can tell, that family is content with the status quo. Someone has Haleigh and good luck to her. "Hope they are feeding her good!"(A Teresa Neves quote.)
That's why letting sleeping dogs lie is just fine with all of them. Ron is involved or someone near and dear to him is involved. And I don't mean Misty. She may know a lot, may even be a witness, but if she did the deed alone or just with a Croslin, the Sykes tribe would throw her to the wolves. They have done so, but ever so half-heartedly...proceed with caution when taking on a ticking time bomb like Misty! She knows plenty about Ron and his family.
I do agree with you that some important investigative people in this case want nothing more than it should all just go away.It was a lame ass investigation from the start. A lot of false starts, lots of stops, everything held close to the LE vest, signifying no action. IMO.
