You should be listening to their taped programs to contaminate your brain further instead. Last I checked, the Magic are benefiting from the money that could have been spend on those same poor and needy citizens they took the game away from. Yea. Gotcha. This 'greedy' owner YANKED all the TV sets out of the cardboard boxes that were under the bridge. QUIT ASKING FOR PRIVATE ENTERPRISE charity! When YOU own it, then you can decide if you want to GIVE IT AWAY. You don't own it. So it's NOT your decision. Typical whiner liberal....trying to mandate that what he didn't build, pay for, finance, or create....be distributed for FREE to those who didn't pay, won't ever, don't deserve, and don't appreciate. Hey...go get the CHURCH to buy a 'slice' of airwaves and broadcast it to your trailer if you want.

I can't wait to move out of my apartment so I can get rid of brighthouse and go to direct TV. Brighthouse does not deserve my money.

Brighthouse is raising rates in January and does not want this situation to appear like the driver of the rate increase. That way they look greedy. Brighthouse is greedy, FSN is taking advantage of the Magic deal to push Brighthouse to add them to the Orlando market, and the Magic, will suffer the most. The Magic will have to raise rates soon and are not doing themseles any favors if fans cannot see the Magic on TV to entice them to go to a game.

This is what I think the problem is. The people who are constantly complaining about not being able to watch Magic games is either because:
A) Stay with their parents or someone who don't watch the Magic and are fine with BH.
B) Too lazy and dumb to call and change subscribers.
C) Just chronic whiners who will cry about anything in hope for sympathy.

To lose televised games for many people who cannot afford to go while gaining a stadium built on the back of taxpayers and calling yourselves capitalists is, well socialist for the rich, capitalist for the poor. America is fracturing at a rapid rate. At best it is dying slowly. Tax rates are sky high and getting higher with inflation for good measure. The greed must be kept in check. This is not happening. In my development there a many empty homes. there are many occupied homes. I suggest a 500 million project to help us all. Paid for by the taxpayer of course.

If you can't 'afford' to pay for cable...then you shouldn't be watching TV anyway. Get out of the ghetto and go get a second job to pay off your "twenty twos"...

dude, no selfrespecting homey would ride on 22s. 24 is the minimum. I have 30s on my Impala. Saving (2 extra drug deals a night, cutting back on crack) for 36s.

From what I can tell, Brighthouse charges AT LEAST $10 a month more to it's Orlando customers than it does in other Florida regions, and yet all the other Florida regions have FSN on the basic package. If the Magic got a better offer from Fox than they did from other broadcasters, you can't blame them for taking it - they ARE a business.
Similarly, BH are a business, and are within their rights to make their own strategic decisions - but it seems pretty obvious to me that Brighthouse are using Orlando area customers to subsidise their other regions.
My opinion is 'vote with your wallet, and take your business elsewhere'. If I were a BH customer, I'd be straight on the phone to my local dish broadcaster.

To LIBERALS HATE FACTS: From your rants, I believe that your solution is exterminations. Please get a plan up on this board. We, the lowly peasants will then get ourselves in lines according to your directions and orders of course for the final solution. Remember one thing, there are people living in our nation that would think your a lowlife also. It won't be that easy. Now go pray to Saint Joe Mengele.

No. Never said that or insinuated it. The average ghettoite will do that automatically. The key is to just avoid the area.

Good job of the Sentinel in bringing out the story, but it seems uncleat what if anything has been set in concrete (contract).
Where and how does a Brighthouse customer get to watch the Magic? If it is a extra cost, what is that cost?
As far as the Magic guilt trip, it doesn't work too well for me. They are a business with stockholders expecting a profit on their investment and guys like Dwight Howard need to be paid.
In other words if it's a duck (business), I expect it to walk, talk and act like a duck.

Not many people watch the tragic anyway, for that matter the NBA keep losing viewers and the tragic keep making deals like G Hill, FSN, trading good players for broken down players... the tradic is the biggest all around money pit in Orlando! If you want to see the future of the Magic just go to the Magic Fan attic! or did that place close years ago.... maybe the Magic could just move to another new arena at UCF... plenty of seats for those who actually attend magic games.. then we could use the $900 million for the new arena and finish building the beltway or build some new schools why cant anyone understand that, A. unless you live in the I drive hotels, you are in no way paying for the arena. and B. that money can only go back into the I drive hotels and sports arenas...not schools and roadways

I wont rant about product (orlando magic) and market (THE FANS) relationships and the fact that markets control product/product development, not vise versa. The tv coverage fiasco shows the Magic are either grossly ignorant, incompetent, or greedy. This does not bode well for the future.
General magic tv fans are disgusted. Season ticket holders and individual game ticket buyers are really steamed . l continue to be surprised at how many times the topic comes up with non magic/basketball fans too.
I am amazed this situation has been allowed to happen but I am astounded it is continuing with no end in sight.
I just think there is a little more to this dark cloud than the magic front office realizes. Phrases like cant see the forest through the trees and penny wise/ dollar foolish come to mind.
I am disappointed... they just dont get it. This is just the latest fiasco and unfortunately by the time the magic do get it ,it may be to late. For myself and a number of others, we are done. No more tickets, no more tv games, no more magic shirts, hats, bobble heads, water cooler discussions etc, We were good loyal fans for many years but no mas.........no mas.....we are done
