Thanks for clearing that up! I just moved to Jacksonville, i have Comcast and see all the games, but my family and friends are upset because they can't, now they can point their anger more appropriately, i mean come on, i thought DeVos had a "heart" at least a new he bought a few years ago. DeVos will need that extra few million to buy a new heart in a couple years and do you know how much gel it takes to keep Bob Vander Weide hair just right, it not cheap!

as a huge supporter of the new downtown venues, i have to agree with you mike. im angry at the magic for doing this. it makes my head spin why they didnt protect the fans and have a kill clause in the contract if no deal was met by season tip-off. could their front office be that negligent?

Typical Thomas propaganda and lies. The Magic have NOT removed their games from regular cable. The Magic are available on regular cable through Direct TV.

Furthermore Brighthouse charges everyone for channels they never watch. I never watch home & garden channels, speed tv or the country music channel. When was the last time Brighthouse polled it's customers to see what channels they did want?

Sure shows, Magic only care about wallets not fans. Pesonally i would have to be paid to sit and watch a magic game on tv or in the front row of the arena.

Mike Thomas, you could not be more right on this one! The Magic are a greedy enterprise with a greedy owner. However, this is no surprise. Afterall, Rich Devos is the only American who has made a living off a legitament pyramid scam called "Amway". I am one of the unfortunate Magic fans who cannot watch the games because of his GREED. And this organization actually considers themselves Christians? What hypocrits!

Greed is the word!. We are all paying higher cost of goods directly related to the advertising for pro sports teams. I wonder how much they plan on charging the Chinese for similar "services"?

You're way off base on this Mike. Bright House Networks offers FSN on every area lineup EXCEPT in the Orlando area. They offer a wide variety of channels I'll never watch, like Spanish channels, shopping channels, religious channels, etc.

Why shouldn't the Magic move from one broadcaster to another if they will get more money? It's still a business. But Bright House is the one being greedy here. Call them with a complaint about this and you are told to be happy with the games you can see on Sunshine. Every other Bright House market carries FSN as part of their lineup. If I didn't live in an apartment I'd switch to DirecTV in a heartbeat.

I guess the DeVos pockets aren't deep enough. There must still be some room in there for a few more "millions" at the expense of thier fans. I am not much of a Magic fan or basketball for that matter but, I am upset that Brighthouse can't get the NFL Network or NFL Sunday Ticket and also as a Bright House employeee I can assure all of you that we do work very hard to try and secure a deal with all sports networks to be able to broadcast those sporting events.
As for satellite, when your are watching a game just pray we don't get a typical Florida storm.. Will they credit your account for the lack of service like Bright House does? From friends mf mine that have satellite, they don't....

It sounds to me like greed. Don't forget how Devos' billions were made, a modern day pirimid scam called Amway. Oh yea don't forget four or five years ago when Devos shopped the team around trying to sell it when the N.B.A. said no. Then what did our owner say"I've had a change of heart." Seems to me he keeps his heart in his wallet. I've seen this routine before from the owner and his management. Pat Williams' punch-lines by bad-mouthing a few of his own players personal/private lives at a fund raisig luncheon a few years back comes to mind. Worst administrative decision in modern day was to use your first-round draft pick on a player who wasn't even going to play for sure. I say give it 8 weeks. Devos thinks he has a gold mine now until the tragic chokes as it always has due to the lack of genuine support from management and the owner. Don't forget when the team came out strong 2 seasons ago prompting Devos to raise ticket prices ridiculously only to discount them towards the end of the season. One thing to take out of the equation in sports is greed. You must have heart and passion for what you're doing. You must invest in you people as well as you fans. If you attempt to run a team as a cheese-ball pyramid scam you'll always lose.

Sometimes my cable and phone goes out on a CLEAR day. I have to call in on my cell phone and threaten to cancel in order to get a credit.

What does the average citizen receive when the Magic win or lose anyway?
Nada!
Why bother!?
The players area bunch of overpaid/undereducated fools who are adored by people that don't even really know them!
Why support these guy'ssalaries by attending games at such kigh prices?
What do these players do for the youth of Pine Hills for example?
FREE tickets?....NO Way!
Community education?..No Way!
These guys come from the "hood"...but quickly jump into their Range Rovers and speed away to the suburbs forever!
Why bother?
These Crooked athletes and the people that support them should be on TV to be scrutinized!
They're flying under the radar so far- BUT ....Someday soon they MUST BE EXPOSED for the underworked/overpaid crooks that they are!
just ask yourselves.....What do the Magic do for me and my family? Really...What?
They create a venue for shallow uncultured commonfolk to gather and drink alcohol, act like 3rd graders screaming about a ball and then drive their cars home!
Think about it..it's just crazy!
Drinking...Driving!
Oh ..but it'sOK cause the Mayor says so! Oh!
Support the "REAL'"arts!
Read a book!
Good Luck America...this is your future!
