To say that we invaded a country with nuclear weapons would be just as vague. But if your talking about Osama then things like that have been going on for as long as man has had the concept of goverment. Afghanistan does not claim those regions, only Pakistan does. They are part of Pakistan, yet we sent in ground troops, drones, and special ops. So we did in fact invade a country with nuclear weapons, do you are just plain wrong in your assertion that we have not. Twist and swirm and make excuses all you want, but you are wrong as usual.

You mean only Pakistan wants to claim that land. The fact is that for a country to be able to consider that land thiers they must be able to exercise control. Take the Spratleys for example. Several nations claim those islands as thiers. Yet technically none actually do. For the simple fact that none have been able to exercise exclusive control over it. So how can you invade something that is a free for all. If anything the warlords and tribes are the only ones who can claim ownership since they are they are the only ones capable of exercising control.

OMG. There's still a scientist around that dares to speak the Three Magic Words - "We Don't Know:" "We don't know exactly what causes the cloud heights to lower," study researcher Roger Davies of the University of Auckland in New Zealand said in a statement." http://www.livescience.com/18604-cloud-height... It's just one of those Unknowns they can't admit they don't understand. Fierce assertions that 'it doesn't matter that the climate models don't account for lowering cloud hights because their effect is dwarfed by EEeeevul corporate/capitalist CO2 forcing" in 3 ... 2... 1 ...

Teddy....the science has been settled since the 1990s. There is no room for this kind of anti-science. This scientist will have to be exposed for his "bad science." It is "crystal clear" that rising CO2 will cause the Earth to warm so much that most species will become extinct. The only way to save the world is to stop those capitalists from burning fossil fuels and send 1% of our GDP to the UN.

I thought the sky was going to come down and burn us all or at least all the glacier melting ive been hearing about. I guess it just kinda picks which ocean it wants to attack! Rising ocean levels due to GL only affect eyes and ears of certain idyots of this world who generally lack common sense. Common sense begins with tuning out of liberal media web sites. Common sense begins with tuning out or TURNING OFF programs sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund, Sierra Club or National Geographic Society. And the Weather Channel needs to stop preachin' leftist global climate change lies...and get back to the business of reporting THE WEATHER.

Why is that Gleick and his comrades tell us that Heartland is one "evil" institution, but to prove that Gleick has to fake a "smoking gun" memo as proof. It is being reported that the EPA gave hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of grants to Gleick's nonprofit, but now the EPA has scrubbed any evidence of giving those grants. Why is that? Who really has the most to gain from AGW? A little libertarian think-tank running on a miniscule budget or those who are profiting from working with the government to pass regulations that benefit their "cause." http://junkscience.com/2012/02/24/more-grants... Heartland's only crime is that they are interfering with the gravy train.

There's no evidence to say he did fake it. As it says the same things that the other documents say (the ones Heartland has implicitly admitted are genuine), it's perfectly plausible that the events are as he described: he got the policy document in the post and that led to the other (confirmed genuine) information. Of course the Heartland 'Hores are furiously trying to distract from this possibility. Keep it up! Gotta earn those pay checks!

Of course the Heartland 'Hores are furiously trying to distract from this possibility. Keep it up! Gotta earn those pay checks! Oh, please....I bet you defended Weinergate until the end because you don't have any kind of critical thinking. People went into contortions trying to protect that pervert, when common sense was that Weiner sent the picture accidentally to everyone instead of privately and then knowingly accused other people of hacking his computer trying to bring him down. Since the "smoking gun" memo has everything from the other papers, it is entirely plausible that Gleick forged the memo from the information he got from Heartland. The parts that he added to "spice it up" were wrong. Koch did not give money to climate change and they only gave 25,000 for healthcare. And the really funny part is that the "smoking gun" memo is how so many people figured out it was Gleick before he even admitted it. From an article posted the day before Gleick confessed: Interestingly, Gleick, who would normally be preening and prancing in glee at this sort of attention to the Heartland Institute has so far been utterly silent at his Forbes blog and on his Twitter feed. One has to wonder if Peter Gleick or an alarmist fellow traveler he knows is concerned about an FBI agent knocking on the door sometime soon. Perhaps people should keep an eye on the dumpsters around Gleick’s house for discarded computers or an Epson scanner." http://spectator.org/blog/2012/02/17/theft-an... The pressure got to him, so he confessed to obtaining the documents, but didn't go so far as to say he forged the memo. But when so many people had already figured out it was him because of the way that "smoking gun" memo was written, it doesn't leave much doubt that the person who obtained the documents is the one that forged the memo. Just like Weiner, when the pressure gets to be too much, he will fold like a house of cards. And really, if the document wasn't a fake, there is nothing in it that is even remotely illegal or "evil." Heartland doesn't do anything different than any other nonprofit think tank. It's just that this "thinktank" doesn't conform to the thought police of liberal ideology. You pay a price for that....freedom, privacy, the right to speak. It's sad that someone would risk their career to "expose" nothing illegal or "evil."

Here's a sign, Winters, during the El Niño effect, are warmer and drier than average in the Northwest, North mid-west, and North mid-east United States, and therefore those regions experience reduced snowfalls. Meanwhile, significantly wetter winters are present in northwest Mexico and the southwest United States including central and southern California. El Niño is credited with suppressing hurricanes and made the 2009 hurricane season the least active in twelve years. It's the El Nino effect, stupid.

Of course the heat in Florida is a sure sign of AGW. That's the way it works....heat in a localized area is a sign of AGW, cold is a sign of a weather event,(and shhhh...we don't really want to talk about cold records that are broken, because by your logic, Florida in the winter of 2010 would be a sign of global cooling.)

Well you either really haven't lived in Fl very long, or you just don't remember things very well. Maybe you're just fudging the TRUTH. People I know who have lived here all of their lives agree it is NORMAL. Just one example: in the the mid 1980's it was 95* on Christmas Day. It was a gorgeous day! It all depends on the year, it can either be hot or very cold for a duration in Fl in the winter. That's NORMAL for Fl. So, give it a rest. And people up North say every year, "it never snowed this much before" or "it never got this cold before". BS. It's just their memories that are dim from year to year. I've got pics that prove them wrong. I also know from experience, that they are full of it. 88* is ungodly hot to you? That's a nice mild day for Fl. It's almost 7:30 & 79*. It's great! Spring is here! Yeah!

Pretty funny that an AGW scientist is trying to tell us that a libertarian think tank spreads lies to protect their "vested interests" when in fact Gleick's nonprofit collects hundreds of thousands of dollars from the government based on the "settled science." If this science is so settled why do these scientists feel the need to lie and break the law? Why do they feel the need to silence instead of debating. If your science is crystal clear, you should be asking to debate anyone who is a skeptic..I wonder who else funds Gleick's nonprofit? Has he listed all his donors? Is he being as transparent as those he insists should be transparent? Why did our government scrub any evidence of giving grants to Gleick? What is the EPA trying to hide? Let's see if the EPA complies with the FOIA requests.
