Really Hideaki? REALLY?!?!?!?
You think a FOURTEEN year old should be in trouble for improper judgement. REALLY? In this society where we push our children to grow up too fast, when their sexuality is budding and they get some attention from AN ADULT it is the ADULT'S responsibility to use PROPER JUDGMENT. Or in this case: COMMON SENSE THAT A FOURTEEN YEAR OLD IS NOT TO BE LOOKED AT AS A SEXUAL OBJECT.
Good God you should be publicly stoned with the rest of them.

This scumbag needs to go to prison, but you ever notice that when a man has sex with a minor it's sexual abuse. But when a woman has sex with a minor, it's sexual contact. The headline without even telling the sex of the people involved tells you who the perp was. Let's have a little eqality here huh?

While I'm with you on the common sense part and not defending this guy's actions, I think you're off base is saying that we're asking our children to grow up too fast. We're doing just the opposite by sheltering kids, at an early age, from bullies, unkind words, or any sort of failure. If this dude is still living with his parents in his thirties, as is suggested by another post, no wonder why he's unable to differentiate between a 14 year old and somebody who's older. Not defending...just pointing out a possible consequence of sheltering...

What in the world does blue hair or eyeliner got to do with a persons character? You self righteous idiots need to get a life of your own and stop trying to persecute others based on their appearance. I know this man personally and in true depth anyone can know a person and I tell you that Andrew is neither capable of such a monstrous crime let alone should he be charged with it. Has anyone looked into the character of this supposed child? Last time I checked 14 year olds don't appreciate when you refuse to see them as the adult they are so sure they are. Andrew is not a child molester. He has not a bad character bone in his body. He is eccentric but lovable. HE is a nature lover and passionate about many things, but HE WOULD NEVER TOUCH A CHILD IN ANY INAPPROPRIATE MANNER. SO to all you self righteous witch hunters..........Get a life and grow up!!! CB

I have to wonder how "in depth" you know Andrew. And even if you know him as well as you say you do, you have no idea what goes on in his brain. Only he does. You weren't there to say he's not capable. And it's true, blue hair and eyeliner do not make him a monster. It was an observation of his appearance. It is also true, however, that molesters of any variety are *strange*, of which blue hair and eyeliner qualifies. Keep your own self-righteousness to yourself and remember that people are entitled to their opinions. I don't think you know Andrew as well as you think you do.

For someone who has not been around him since around 1990 you wouldn't know much about him today. Him and I have been deeply close friends since 2000 and I am telling you he really is not capable of it. I have a better idea of what goes on in his head than you. He is my best friend and someone i know i can always rely on when times are tough. He has never acted inappropriate in anyway. I KNOW him alot better than most, and more recently than you. I would suggest you find a different crusade than trying to fry a person that you claim was once your friend. Just because someone is eccentric does not make him evil as you would so like all to believe. He is a genuinely wonderful person. I am sure all will be sorted out through the courts and he will have the support emotionally and monetarily that he needs from our family to clear his name. Everyone has a right to their opinion but defamation of character and libel is against the law. So I suggest you take cracks somewhere else and leave the man alone. He has enough to deal with right outside of worrying about some jaded ex girlfriend. So mouse I would suggest you find a life and move on. CB

When I saw this article, I shook my head, this is not the man I know. He is kind, and has a better understanding of human nature than most people I know. Say what you want , I know that he is not this. I am glad to hear he has the support of good people.

Orland mall brats listen up!!we all know 14 doesnt look 14 anymore..more like 20! I think this girl should be in some trouble herself! staying at the mall hangin out and flirting all day and night...walking to some mans car willfully getting in and talking, she knew better...then he should of known better! its really unfortunate that this incident happened, and this is one experience that has a serious price to pay on both sides. if this goes to trial and it will, this young girls life will be for all to hear, how many boyfriends, has she had sex..ect ect..

felicia wrote: <quoted text> when i was 14...i looked 21...the world is different now..this girl should of known better I was 20 and had a "you're HOW old?" situation in the same vein as you described. HOWEVER...this guy was in his 30s. I know how easily led we can be :-) but at some point, you KNOW how you're talking to. And while that girl may know what she's doing...right or wrong..legally, she's off the hook. My comments point to that when a guy in his 30s has never left home, he will be stunted, so that when talking to a 14 year old, that conversation is "normal" to him. If I'm talking to anybody under 20, I know it...no matter if they look older. That old song by Steely Dan "Hey 19" nails it.
