in my opinion it all went down hill after the gov't did away with community corporal punishment.

back in the day .... when parents and teachers were allowed to knock sense into the kids - this crap was almost unheard of.

now it happens every day.

I agree. Nowadays you get more time in the slammer if you have an auto accident which kills someone than a murderer gets if they plan the murder in advance.

Teachers are also responsible when they started telling kids to come and tell them if their parents hit them. Then the parents reciprocated by telling the schools they couldn't hit their kids. Now the law is penalizing the parent if the kid does the crime. This world is so screwed up.

Before you judge them, try to use a little empathy. What would you do if you were terrified into hiding a pregnancy, delivered at home because you didn't have insurance, and then the baby dies at home. It's a moment of pure panic, and I can't imagine being in that situation. It's not like these people are necessarily homicidal freaks. We need to use our minds to judge people instead of a two paragraph newspaper story.

Empathy my @zz. That is what is wrong with this world today. They could have a least given it a decent burial. Instead they treated it like a left-over lamb chop and probably went on trying to make more babies. Condoms anyone? Maybe your mother should have done the same to you lamb chop.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Cancer

Love could catch you by surprise today. You might be strongly attracted to someone who isn't your usual type at all but who makes your knees go weak all the same, or you could get caught up in an illicit relationship that's exciting because it has to be kept a secret. If you're already involved with someone they'll need plenty of freedom and won't appreciate feeling emotionally tied down. You need to let them off the leash for a short while!
