Poor people shouldn't watch TV? Is that it? Or drive cars? It's just an example of the many luxuries one can do without to afford health insurance. But, again, we're focusing on the wrong problem. Unless and until health care costs come down to what is considered rational and reasonable, health care reform will continue to remain elusive. Do you think people who can afford such luxuries should be taken care of by the rest of us because they didn't plan ahead - when some who do plan ahead go without those luxuries so they can? (And, yes, white people buy widescreen televisions too.)

That's what I've been trying to say. Thank you for saying it in a way a 4-year-old could understand. It's precisely because of the ones who go without who pay for the ones who can afford insurance more than they can.

By the way, to Homer and those who are "concerned" about me, I eat plenty more fruits and vegetables than sweets and eat sugar free most of the time. And rarely eat red meat - mostly chicken, turkey and fish. But thanks for ya'll's concern anyway.

Oh, and sorry we vetoed every one of your budgets and spent like tasmanian devils.

Next thing you know you'll be voting for Obama and touting how the stimulis saved the country from certain disaster and how finance and healthcare reforms were good things for the average working person and banks should not be exempt from culpability and no person should be denied coverage.
