<quoted text>Yard sales and thrift shops are good for books sometimes. We used to love these books by a guy named Edward Everett Horton (I think that was his name). They were about some kids that would have magic things happen to them. Half Magic was when they found this coin and everything they wished for half came true. So when they wished their cat could talk, she sort of garbled some words. They figured out how to "double" the wish. Another one was Magic by the Lake. Seems like it had a turtle that they found that talked or something like that. Geez--I read those in grade school. I'll bet I checked them out from the library a dozen times and loved them every time. I also got into Louisa May Alcott. Little Women, Little Men, Jo's Boys, Eight Cousins and I know there was a follow up to eight cousins, but I can't remember the name now. Good wholesome books and I was probably 4th or 5th grade when I read them.
You're right about the thrift stores Kathy. There is a new like a Super Goodwill in Brandon that sells their used books cheap anyway. They have one day a week, but they won't tell you when, where they'll sell them buy one, get one free. I think they'll let you call and ask, but you'd have to call each day or check in. If a person is a serious collector, they could find a treasure trove there. Then I have a few old, out-of-way thrift stores I love. Just can't buy those things lately, and I used to blow a bundle when I stop and think about it. I do not like collecting junk anymore at least, no where to put it, and I don't like dusting around all that crap anymore. I'm finding out less IS better.

<quoted text>Does it help with anything to do with a cough and allergies?
I don't know.

I just read he was an Smart, fancy builder (I cannot spell arka-teck <- phonetic) who had pneumonia (sp?) Geeesh everyword I type is lookin wrong! Anywhooo, his wife could not sleep w/his constant coughing and somebody said Vapo-rub on soles of feet and she figured she had nothing to lose. And the next day he was better. Odd but true.

The other odd remedy I personally tried on my BFF's open wound was to slather it w/honey. The Dr wouldn't prescribe antibiotics so I checked w/Google and it said WAY before antibiotics were invented
(Like the Greeks and Cleopatra) when they were wounded they used honey. So I slathered honey on BBF's goose-egg sized wound, now 3 weeks later it is about the size of a dime.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing! I guess he's not there yet! Stay where you are Hans! I think I mean he's not here yet. Girlfriend, you are pretty on the ball. I guess it depends on whether you're young at heart! Some stay that way forever, and that's good. Some run to the finish line like they're running a marathon. I don't see the hurry though sometimes I think I was born old.

I had typed something to Hal about Yanni--oh yeah that his GF was Linda Evans (had been, anyway). So now I'm youtubing some Yanni. This guy is playing this huge bamboo looking thing. I think what I liked about Yanni (besides the fact that he's cute as heck) is how enthusiastic he is about his music. I think he wrote it all, but mostly I've only seen him play keyboards and direct. But he is some nice eye candy!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
