Is it possible to find a place on these threads just to say hello & not be judged? Not everyone is blessed with the same type of circumstances in life. If you have a positive thought, or just need to say good morning to start the day, share something funny from your day, the possibilities are endless, if you are open to not bringing unkindness to the thread. Good morning & have a day where you can find brightness & something positive as simple as hello with a smile to a total stranger.

. . . and so it begins. There is a lurking troll who finds it necessary to judge every post on here. It's only a matter of time before she comes out a blazin.

"SUCCESS - To laugh often & much; to win the respect of intelligent people & affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics & endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." By Ralph Waldo Emerson

He was a wise man, on a bad day, he would always tell me "remember none of this is going to matter in 100 years". The other night I was thinking of him & how much I miss him, he died in 2005. He still had his sense of humor until the end, even though he was unable to remember our faces. How strange it was today, someone called looking for his son, they went to college over 25 years ago & we were able to talk about fond memories of someone we knew in common & yet we were total strangers.

ROSES & HANGING BASKETS A teenage granddaughter comes downstairs for her date with this see-through blouse on and no bra. Her grandmother just pitched a fit, telling her not to dare go out like that! The teenager tells her "Loosen up Grams. These are modern times. You gotta let your rose buds show!" and out she goes. The next day the teenager comes down stairs, and the grandmother is sitting there with no top on. The teenager wants to die. She explains to her grandmother that she has friends coming over and that it is just not appropriate... The grandmother says, "Loosen up, Sweetie. If you can show off your rose buds, then I can display my hanging baskets." Happy Gardening (This is too funny not to share!) My elderly neighbor's older sister shared this with her through the mail. She shared this with me today, and now I am sharing it with you. I hope some of you enjoy!

Jules Verne lived from 1828-1905. One of his books was "From the Earth to the Moon." It has many odd similarities to NASA, especially with the Apollo 8 mission. He picked "Tampa Land" as the site of his launch (FL is close to the equator, spins faster, gives take-off easier velocity). He used the new light metal aluminum, and sent 3 astronauts, who had to land in the Pacific and came very close to their rescue helicopter, which also happened to Apollo 8. Good night Good rest

His spaceship was only 7,000 lbs heavier than Apollo 8 and he had the take off speed pretty on the money!

I've been a little busy and haven't had time to read everything or post much. Glad you are still around. Others seem quiet right now. Still love your cosmic musings!
