Jacksonville business networking group

Hey all!

I have looked into several networking groups in the Jacksonville area, and they are all fairly pricey, plus they want your annual membership fee up front - usually upwards of three hundred dollars.

I am considering starting a lower-priced networking group for small business owners and home business owners in the Jacksonville area, and I am looking for feedback on the idea.

Membership dues would be in the neighborhood of twenty dollars up front, then $15 per month. That would cover meeting rooms, web space, a group calendar, a monthly newsletter for members, two meetings each month, etc.

Any thoughts on an idea like?

Has anyone ever started a networking group like the one Aaron spoke of? I tried to do one in Mandarin. I also don't like the idea of spending a fortune for a networking group. I think it should be based on people helping people.

I love go to networking events. It's really helped my buiness. I belong to the Women Celebration's group. It's really cool because they meet at different locations on different days. I think its a great idea, have you had any oterh response or interest?

I am a Realtor with Realty World, Executive Group, and have been interested in joining a networking group that doesnt require a huge monthly expense. I am looking for a group in Orange Park or on the Westside of Jacksonville.
