Did the Rev. Sean Oliver Allen give anyone an explanation as to why he removed both flags?

If he was a real believer, then wouldn't he think God would protect him? Better put the flag back up junior.

Shame on doofus for suggesting that a church display a flag. It's a severe case of idolatry at best and an offense to God at worst as our country's government is not exactly holding up and demonstrating much of anything that Jesus taught.

Hey Nick, there are times in the gospels where even Jesus fled from an angry mob....besides what has the "church" come to when we are angered to "or else" statements over a countries flag being taken down from a place that is supposed to teach a message for the whole world, think about it.

I'd be interested in knowing what rational the pastor used for removing these flags in th first place. I've been in many church sanctuary's over the years and I believe I've seen flags in all of them.

That was my question, who or what made him remove the flags. I have been in many Churches of many religions and they have all had both the American Flag and the flag of their religion.

Something is not right with this.

The article posted here did leave a lot out. Google - According to NewsJournal:

"Sean was of the belief that because we are a church, we are a people of Christ, we should be focusing on the cross of Christ," Long said. "So he removed the flags from the sanctuary."
and
"The U.S. and church flags were not necessarily present each and every Sunday but were in the sanctuary a majority of the time and on special occasions like Christmas, Easter and Veterans Day", Long said.

He's a Christian and a Baptist and can also write a proper sentence, unlike the author of the "turban" comment. Has anyone seen "Rick" out in his white sheet and hood with the Grand Kleagle?
